I just went here for the second time ever and brought my wife this time. The first time I went with a friend and we had mainly Thai dishes. I remember we got some of the spicy chicken wings (I forgot if they were Devil or Angel, but they were bone-in and spicy, but I wasn't a big fan), drunken noodles (not a fan of sweet flat noodles either, but they were ok), and some kind of curry (the best part of the meal). Since I am not a big Thai food fan, I was not amazed with the food, however I did appreciate the quality, the service, and the overall execution. Worthy of 4 stars to be sure, and probably some of the best Thai food I've had. I just have yet to be blown away by Thai food despite many attempts. This time, however, we went with a sushi focus, and the results were definitely different. We each started with a cup of miso soup. My wife got the shitake mushroom version, and I got the standard tofu version. The mushroom cup was full of sliced, grilled mushrooms. I am not a big fan of cooked mushrooms because they get a chewy texture, but these were done in such a way as to be quite palatable and tasty to me. So much so, that I ended up trading cups with my wife and eating most of her mushrooms. :) Then we got an order of crab and cream cheese filled wontons with spicy plum sauce. The wontons were fantastic. Nice and crispy with an ample amount of cream cheese and crab. My wife really enjoyed the spicy plum sauce, too, though I avoided it as usual. We also got a California roll (pretty good but standard), a spicy tuna roll with crispy stuff all over and eel sauce (really good), and a red dragon roll (delicious). The sushi quality was solid and reasonably priced ($3.50, $8.55, and $9-something). The whole dinner was $35, and was fantastic. The only thing we don't like about this place really is the location. It's in a sketchy strip mall right next to a 7-Eleven where shady looking characters seem to like to hang out in the parking lot (go figure, right?). I might be overreacting a bit, but it made us a little uncomfortable going in and out. While inside, everything was great though. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Summary: Tiny place with only a handful of tables. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great value. The sushi is excellent, the crab rangoon are wonderful, and the Thai food (if you like Thai food) is also well done. The strip mall location is a bit shady, but otherwise the place is definitely worth a visit for Thai or sushi.

I really liked this place although parking is tough and the place is cramped it was very good sashimi, very good rolls and the service was great.

Best Thai food in San Pedro. I've been going to this place for the past two years and always was impressed. I usually order delivery and get yellow or red curry with chicken, (order an extra side of rice cause 8oz is not enough,) and Mongolian beef. Delivery is always on time. Their amazing service and food keeps me going back

GOOD FOOD. me and my BFF had dindin and we had PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE and I forgot the other but anyways, both were delicious! Can't get enough so we always end up here when we are in SP. =)

Really liking this place- it's quaint! Food is delicious! We've tried different stuff and they have all been really tasty! Favorite to go with anything or meal in itself is the combo rice!!!

Stopped here for dinner when I visited LA. The Thai jasmine fried rice was amazing. Will be back again.

For the price, we loved it. We ordered a mix from the menu. Our sushi was fresh. We were the only people in the restaurant so the sushi chef made a cute face on the caterpillar roll, cucumber butterfly, and gave us free shrimp sashimi (also with a face). The pad Thai dish hit the spot, too. My son liked the wonton soup. We left happy and satisfied. The next time we are in San Pedro we will stop and eat here again.

Wow this place excellent. After spending the day enjoying the beach views @ The Korean Friendship Bell and Harbor Walkway my date and I wanted some sushi. I'm not from San Pedro so had to rely on Yelp to point us in the right direction. After reading the reviews of the nearby sushi spots, I decided to come here. At first the place looks closed because of the blacked out windows. Don't be fooled they are open. The restaurant is located in a small strip with a 7-11 next door. So anyways the place is very small, about 8 tables and 4 seats @ the sushi bar. We ordered 3 rolls - 911, Blossom Yellow Tail, and Crunch. We also had some hot green tea and mango sticky rice for dessert. Wow the food was amazing! I generally do not like the Crunch Roll, but this had to be the best I've ever tasted. 911 Roll had to be the favorite among the 3. The service was excellent. I forget her name but she was very attentive and polite throughout the meal. This will be my go to spot when in the San Pedro area. As you can see I'm not only one who agrees on the quality. Definitely should try this place!

Friday night at 8ish I called my order in and they told me it would be ready in 30 mins so i said WTH ill just deal with it. I chose the crunch roll and drunken noodles with beef. Drunken noodles had a kick to them but they were still really good and crunch roll was a little bland i think it could have been fresher also. Anyways i get there 45 mins later and my order still isn't ready. I didn't say anything just waited needless to say they just need to be a little quicker.

I don't think Jasmine Hana needs another 4-/5-star review but here you go! This is a super small restaurant with only probably 5 tables in a shady looking plaza. But don't let it fool you! Once you enter the door, it feels as if you are in an entirely different environment. The service is friendly. I don't eat raw fish so I can only rate the Thai food here. So far, I've had their tom yum soup with chicken, wonton soup, and pad see ew, and they are probably the best I've had in the area. My boyfriend is not a Thai food person but he ended up finishing all my food! I will have to come back more for other dishes! Too bad they don't open on Sundays.

Dont have any clue how the reviews are so good. I got the spicy tuna roll, crunch roll and spider roll and they were all horrible. WORST sushi ive ever had. And this place is in a very bad area of town so its not worth the trip at all. Yes the staff is nice but no one wants to eat terrible sushi. DONT GO HERE

Finally, after a long long drive we hit San Pedro at 7:30 and starvin' Marvin. Dil and I went to Jasmine for take-out, it's a room with about 5 tables and a very short counter with literally no where to stand if you're waiting for food. But this closeness does give you ample opportunity to get to know the folks eating or just waiting for take out. I ordered the Pad Thai, very good. Son got yellow curry, I wasn't a fan but my son enjoyed it. Dil got chow mein and enjoyed that as well. I'd love to eat in; it would be a fun and intimate dining experience. I averted a guy 2 & 1/2 times my dil's age from trying to pick up on her....he did back off a bit when he found out dil was married to my son....hahaha! All in all good food and a story to boot!

It'd been too long since we ate Jasmine Hana. The previous night, I realized how naive and idiotic I was to not eat the most delicious Thai food you'll ever experience in your lifetime. Thankfully my wife brought leftovers from Bible study and I immediately regretted depriving my taste buds, so we invited some friends at ate at the restaurant the following day. Everything we ordered was from the Thai portion of the menu. Brown curry with shrimp, crab fried rice, pad thai, and pad see ew. All delicious and all of us couldn't agree more. I was taken aback at how yummy the curry was. And yes, it sucks that the curry doesn't come with rice ($1.50 for a bowl), but my goodness, it is something everyone should taste at least once before they kick the can. The service is awesome as usual. You seriously feel that they're going out of their way to make your overall experience worthwhile. The staff is extremely polite, attentive, and accommodating. Most dishes, if not all are under $10. Please, I beg of you to try out the Thai food. Simply out of this world!

This place is so good for a sushi/Thai place! The best thing is their drunken noodle, pinneapple fried rice and the double tuna roll! They also deliver up to 10 pm !!! I order from them at least once a week The inside seating and service however can be pretty slow, so ordering for delivery is the way to go for me. But the lady who works there always remembers me and my roommates and what we like., so I appreciate the small town treatment, even if we have to wait a while. One complain is that I wish they had more seating. Try em out their rad.

  • Jeremy E.

This is a very, very small restaurant next to a 7-11. The service is very friendly, the parking has always been pretty easy, except the time a 7-11 delivery truck blocked my car. This is the only Thai restaurant south of Los Angeles that my Thai girlfriend will eat at. She says they are as good or better than the Thai Temple in LA.

  • Adrienne D.

I came on Monday and got the bbq chicken with thai tea. The 30% makes this so affordable. Claire, the waitress was so friendly and genuine, I just love her! She took down my info for the grand opening invite as well. I have had lots of thai food and this is the best I've had so far. I can't wait to try their sushi and boba.

Been trying to find a good local Japanese joint and this place was promising based on the reviews. I ordered their seafood salad and it was not good. The taste was not balanced.

  • Gina M.

The food we had was great. I ordered the Pad See Ew, which are thick rice noodles with veggies and your choice of meat in it. My bf ordered the yellow curry with chicken, which was SOooo yummy as well (not too spicy) My only problem with this place is they're greedy with their steamed rice. The curry didn't come with ANY rice. He had to order 2 orders of white rice as each order was only 1 cup in size at $1.50 each. Overall good experience. But come one guys, if you're gonna be asian, be generous with the steamed rice!

  • Melonie R.

I order delivery from here fairly often. I usually get the chicken teriyaki lunch special with a California roll which is good. I have tried their fried dumplings, crab fried rice, crab ragoon, spicy shrimp/seafood salad, and angel wings which were all good. I was disappointed with their wonton soup. The flavor was OK but the wontons were not. Delivery is fast and friendly, there's a decent portion of food for the price. Don't really have any major complaints. I've never been inside the restaurant so I'm not sure how a dine in experience would be. But I would recommend them if you're looking for a place in the area for a casual quick lunch.

A small, cozy place with a friendly, polite wait staff. I love the Yellow curry with chicken! The Albacore roll is tasty. Pad thai, Pad see ew and fried rice... All of them so good...

  • Anna B.

This place is amazing. Green curry with chicken was incredible. Wonton soup was the most delicious and flavorful I have tasted and beef pad Thai was great. Delivery was fast, and there was enough food for leftover for two more yummy meals. Definitely going on my repeat list.

  • Michael M.

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall. Literally. The restaurant I wedged in between 7-11 and some cleaners. But don't let that stop you from getting some of the best Thai food in the South Bay. I am a huge fan of their Spicy Seafood fried rice. So much fish and rice, you can't go wrong. I've picked at some of their other items while dining with friends and family. Equally as good, but the spicy seafood fried rice is my go to dish there. And here's a fun little fact I didn't know: They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring in your own. So if you like to drink while you eat, then grab a 12 pack and stop on in. Or a bottle if you're a big drinker!

JASMIN HANA and I have a Love - Hate relationship. Ordered the GLASS NOODLE SALAD, picked it up during lunch and to my surprise they gave me a bowl of GLASS NOODLE SOUP. I really like your food JASMINE HANA please get it right. I was thrilled to see you move to my hood, but you keep letting me down. Messing with my meals is like messing with my emotions!

This is the BEST Thai Restaurant in San Pedro! No doubt. ... And a lot of my office co-workers would agree with me!! We often come here for lunch. Service is great! Food is delicious! Prices are reasonable! Portions are great! There's nothing else to ask for! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in SP. Thank you Jasmine Hana for being in SP!

Wow what an experience! This place is great. Do not be offset by its peculiar location in a small strip mall next to a 711, this is quite possibly the best place to get sushi in San Pedro. Once you walk in its so small and intimate, there is only room for about 15-20 people at a time. My boyfriend my mom and I sat at the bar facing the sushi chef. I ordered the drunken noodles (very very very spicy), my mom got double shrimp roll, and my boyfriend got the sushi + sashimi combo roll. The drunken noodles were as I stated previously extremely spicy because I asked for them to be made "double spice" but very good My moms roll was good, cold crunchy and full of tasty shrimp morsel, yum! The sashimi plate was the highlight of the night, by the look on my boyfriends face and the fact that he would not shut the hell up about how good it was, definitely made it a memorable dish. The sashimi plate came with Salmon, White Fish, Ahi, Yellowtail and Albacore. All of them are amazing the Salmon was exceptionally good to me. Usually fish like Salmon can be a bit 'fishy' but this was not fishy at all, purely utterly buttery goodness! Great meal, moderate price, great service, definitely worth the trip if you live in the area or even if you don't. Try it and Im positive you won't be disappointed.

My husband insisted we try this place. He and his co-workers frequent it and so I said why not. First if all the parking is almost dangerous. Big cars for small spaces. The restaurant itself is also tiny, but well decorated. It says on the door that they close from 3-5 and we arrived around 2:40. Since the sushi chef recognized my husband they let us in. I ordered a Spicy Tuna Salad and a Caterpillar Roll. Was severely disappointed in both. The Tuna itself was not spicy and seemed just shy of in edible. Needless to say, I only ate the greens. The roll was just as disappointing but slightly more edible. My husband ordered his usual, Salmon with Garlic Sauce. The fish was drowning in the pungent sauce. He asked me to try it, I immediately tasted the old fish under all that sauce. Never again.

Enjoyed sashimi for lunch yesterday at the sushi bar in Jasmine Hana, located in the crummy strip mall on the NE corner of Gaffey and 1st. Despite the gritty neighborhood, spotless cloth napkins. I craved a low calorie, high protein self-indulgent meal and it was absolutely delicious. Buttery soft seared (with a blow torch) tuna, hamachi, and a pair each of salmon and uni sushi. The salmon was ultra-rich and had a slightly sweet, ever-so subtle nutty flavor. The uni was the best I've ever eaten. Presentation was excellent, with tiny enhancements which brought into focus the flavors of the different varieties of fish without masking or overwhelming them. Finally, the staff are attentive and friendly.

I actually visited in July 2011. We were in the area and stopped by for dinner after reading 25 5-star reviews... and wow, what a totally sketchy strip mall, yet an absolutely yummy hole in the wall! I live and work in Little Tokyo in downtown LA, so I didn't feel particularly inclined to eat Japanese food all the way in San Pedro at the time... but now I wish that I had ordered it just for the novelty of eating Thai and sushi side-by-side. We ordered papaya salad, drunken noodles, and spicy eggplant. I'm not the greatest connoisseur of Thai food, but the food was definitely up to par with my favorite Thai restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley. We had enough food to also feed both of us for lunch the next day. The server was nice and attentive, and even packed us a little extra rice to take home since I had finished most of it already. "Next time, try sushi!" she said. Oh, if I could ever find another reason to be in this sketchy area, I surely will visit, and will do both Thai and Japanese. The restaurant is very small, so seating is limited. There was one other family there during our visit, but I noticed a few other patrons stop by to pick up orders. It seems to be a good find for San Pedro.

I think this place paid money for marketing to get their Yelp score up because this food was horrible. Ordered Yellow Curry, Garlic Pepper pork and Pad se u. All was basically not eatable. There is so much good Thai in Los Angeles it is a shame to see such bad food. I could go on about all the specifics but that would be a waste of time.

First time. Its small but the first Thai i've had in san pedro. After I went there the first time I have been back several times within a week. Their portions are large. I was able to eat it for three days and still have leftovers and I only got two dishes the first time. They are friendly, and very personal if you become a regular. I like their service. They have good prices and everyone inside also stated that it was very good.

Went here solely based on yelp reviews, and glad we did! Had great sushi and Thai tea! Very tiny, so not good for a large group. Service was rest, very friendly and fast- we would go back!

So as a first time customer I have to say I was disappointed in the food. I just moved to San Pedro and decided I would order some Thai since I was craving it. I ordered some chow main which was not good at all, the orange chicken and Mongolian beef was also ordered and in all honesty I could have just made some out of the frozen food section from my local market. I ordered this cuz I thought if this is good, the other food on the menu would be good too. The Mongolian Beef had almost no beef and was full of mushrooms and onions and for what I paid for, I would have thought to get a decent amount of food but I didn't. The egg rolls were filled with soggy veggies and the orange chicken was not great either, soggy and no flavor. The only thing that was decent was their jasmine chicken fried rice and their Thai tea. Would I come here again? Probably not, I would rather drive to LA and get my Thai from out there than to waste 60 bucks on food that was in my opinion, not great at all. Can anyone recommend a really good Thai place?

This place is the reason I love using Yelp. My wife and I were in San Pedro for a short scuba dive weekend trip and yelped a sushi place close to our hotel. This place had great reviews so we gave it a try but when we got there we questioned how good it could be because of its size. There's probably enough seating for maybe 15 people in the whole restaurant. The waitress was super nice and gracious. I was compelled to give her a 25% tip. The food was amazing for such a small place. Sushi was fresh and we ordered the the pineapple fried rice. It was by far the best fried rice I've ever had and I've had lots of fired rice in my lifetime. Since I live in AZ I have to find the recipe to make it myself. We'll definitely be back next time in San Pedro.

What a pleasant surprise! We were craving sushi one night and I decided to order- they deliver late (till 10:00 I think)...sushi was delicious and fresh- even packed on ice. I'm a loyal customer now.

We used to order from here a lot, at one point we were probably ordering weekly. And the service used to be excellent. They'd throw in some things for free too, and it kept us coming back. But the service is horrible, and it had been for awhile. They've nickeled and dimed us by charging for sauce and other small things that made us a little bitter. And today after we ordered take out, we're done with this place. They said 20 minutes, and 45 minutes later the food was finally ready. And they were dismissive and hardly apologetic. We're no longer ordering from here. We are no longer regular customers.

Wow! Normally, I would shy away from a combination place. Either go with Japanese or Thai, but this place is perfect. The Tom Yum is amazing. The spicy tuna salad is spot on. Absolutely delicious. To top it off, it's run by the nicest woman in the world. She asks everyone's name and clearly remembers her regulars. She could teach a class on customer service. She's incredible. If I lived anywhere near this place, they'd have to name a seat at the sushi bar after me.

Simply Delicious! Excellent sushi. Drunken noodles and pineapple frie rice are great. No beer but simply BYOB.

Not sure who rates this place with 5 stars, perhaps people that never been to a REAL Thai Restaurant like "Long Beach Thai" but I'll put my 2 cents. Duck curry- basically coconut milk soup with slices of duck skin with duck fat attached to it. NO DUCK MEAT at all, and for what ever they put into it, at $10 I expected SOME duck in a DUCK CURRY. Pa Thai - is sub average, nothing to write home about. Sushi, on the other hand are good and tasty.

This is my regular stop and I love the food. This is a small little place in San Pedro, but the food is so good. The customer service is good also. Everytime I go here, I have a greeting at the door with a smile, since customer service is not so important. I always get the Tom Yum Goong and they prepare it on the spot. If you get a chance to grab lunch or a bite to eat for lunch. Everything I have tried here turns out to be fresh and good.

We ate dinner at Jasmine Hana because it was across the street from Best Western Plus. Tiny place, most people do take-out. We got: Thai iced tea $2.50 - tasted fine Green curry veggie $7.95 - just ok, not enough veggies white rice small bowl $1.50 - should have got brown rice. Just ok. Pad see ew picked no meat $7.95 - I liked it fine, chinese broccoli, some egg, and fat rice noodles. Two pieces of candy with bill. $24.96 before tip.

Don't think I'm coming back. One star for having the guts to open a restaurant there, and one for the smiles. The area is pretty bad. A few crazy people just outside yelling their craziness to the world. Going into the place, you trip over the old torn apart dirty blinds that adorn the door and front windows. 3 tables and a counter for 4. Food is decent but I think a mediocre roll in a minus 10 shopping strip should not cost $14! Drunken noodles everybody's talking about... meh... at best. Egg rolls tasted of well worn frying oil. Service was OK but I think with all the great reviews here I expected a lot better everything! Dingy little place in a worse than dingy location. $30. for egg rolls, noodles and one sushi roll. I've paid a lot less at a 10 times better place. Look at pictures of their menu blossom yellowtail roll and mine of the real thing. :( Yeah, maybe if I worked nearby and needed delivery? Hint: if you must go, just go for lunch. Feels frightening to park and walk to the place at night. Go up to Western, or to downtown San Pedro instead.

Jasmine Hana is a "hole in the wall" type restaurant that is not in the nicest location but don't let that stop you from eating here. This place serves Thai/Japanese fusion cuisine. Personally I would get the Thai food over the Japanese because for the price they placed on rolls, you can get better quality rolls at a sushi restaurant. There sushi is average and there Thai food is above average. Their Thai food was a little oily but from personal experience many Thai dishes are a little greasy ... Or it could just be the specific dishes I ordered which were the Drunken Noodle, Orange Chicken, and Spicy Basil Eggplant with Chicken. Overall, the food was above average, the server was very polite and I would eat here again.

This is a hidden gem. Unless someone sends you here you would drive by it and never even look twice. Well, look twice because I've been here about a dozen times and never been disappointed. The only thing I'd like to see - the rest of the shopping plaza step up their game to Jasmine Hana level. No matter what you order, make sure to add chicken wings to it as a side. They are incredible.

When in San Pedro, I often end up at Jasmine Hana. While there are other choices in the area, there is often some reason to not go (too crowded, mediocre food, overpriced, etc.) and even with the scary strip mall, entering Jasmine Hana always feels welcoming. I like the variety on the menu (Thai dishes or creative sushi? Don't choose--have both!) and the food has mostly been good. The service has always been very friendly. And it's right near the freeway so I can hop on it to get back home. I'm irrationally upset, however, that the leftover peanut sauce was not wrapped up with the chicken sate I didn't finish and took home. That sauce is pretty much the reason I ordered the dish, and I'm sad that not only it went to waste, but I don't get to eat it with my leftover, slightly overdone chicken.

I give them props for opening up in such a kinda sketchy area. My dad lives right on the next street and I myself have never encountered anything dangerous, just a lot of sketchy looking characters. I ordered to go, for pick up. The food was pretty good, miso soup was really good & they give a pretty big serving. Spicy tuna was just ok, tiger roll & jalapeno roll were really good.

Small restaurant located on the busy Gaffey st. Ordered the shrimp pad Thai, chicken pad ka pow, and chicken green curry. The pad Thai I thought was dry and lacking flavor. The green curry is okay. I think I really enjoy the heat of the pad ka pow out of all the dishes we had. They were very nice and attentive but I don't think I'll come back there are other Thai restaurants.

Situated in an unexpected sketchy mall, this restaurant is friendly and comfortable. Great and friendly service; I loved their smile. It's a small restaurant with about 5 seats at their sushi bar and about equal number of tables. Good for a group of 4 or less for casual dining. Green tea came out in a pot of water with a bag tea in it, which I don't mind. But the tea used for the amount of water was too light and/or old and dry in taste; The barely-there tea flavour failed to complement the food I ordered. The selection of fish was extremely limited although they have basic ones. Most of Chef Specials featured tuna, lacking variety and strength to keep the customers interested. Sushi chef was attentive to his cutting craft, but the fish themselves were bland in general. The size was decent, but rice ball was too big for the size of the cut. I ended up having rice with a side of fish, not fish with rice. I did not taste freshness (relatively anyway), which was another downer. Thai food was a 4 star. Popular food such as Pad See Ew or Pad Thai has, by nature, flavour that appeals to general taste buds. Their noodle dishes were just that expected Thai flavours. Who does not like sweet flavour and crun-chew-ity of Thai noodles? As for the price, I thought Thai food was fine. But as for Japanese, I've seen and tasted better at a half-price sushi joints. Overall, this is a good restaurant for a small crowd or a family for casual dining. They have great family-like service. I cannot recommend Japanese menu, but their Thai menu was decent for "American" taste buds. I would go back, but probably by myself.

The drunken noodle with chicken was BOMB DOT COM!!! So spicy, the good kind. It made my mouth water and my nose run:) The panage curry was soooo sweet, but I did order it medium spice. There Jasmine rice complicated it very well. The Rolls Royce roll was savory and you could taste the freshness. Definitely go there again:)

Amazing food! Super delicious. Perfect for anytime you want to have sushi or Thai food you can have both. My only down fall was that the baby baked lobster hand roll I ordered was the smallest hand roll I have had in my life there was alot of excess sea weed but the taste made up for everything. Really recommend it & this place.

I ordered online the pad Thai was really good I never had pad Thai before I ate almost all of it no leftovers LOL . Their delivery driver was fast and courteous food was hot orange chicken is the best I've ever had hot crispy and delicious you could see the little pieces of orange Peel I also tried the drunken noodles on the second night and ordered some food for my partner we both really enjoyed it ended up sharing. Super cool to have a place like this I've had a few unpleasant experiences with some of the other local sushi spots. This place seems to have a great mix of fusion with the traditional dishes being done beautifully. Also I ordered California rolls they were full of goodies not just a bunch of rice. A+ thank you so much you've created . A new customer :-)

This is my go to Thai place in the area. But tonight we tried the sushi! Hands down the best in San Pedro. We tried the Rolls Royce , Yellowtail Blossom Spicy and Alaskan! oishi! Loved it! Side Of edamame and BoBa Iced Tea! Too Boba! Too bomb! The place is a hidden jewel, literally! Lol!

I was lazy to cook one night so I decided to check out what restaurant around me delivered. Jasmine Hana popped up and I saw that they offered sushi and Thai food. My favorite!! Sushi: I ordered the spicy tuna and regular tuna rolls. The tuna was fishy and I did not want to finish it. The spicy tuna tasted kind of weird to me. Can't expect much from q Thai restaurant serving sushi though lol. Thai: I ordered the Yellow curry, Eggplant and Chicken Tom yum soup. The Curry and Tom yum soup was delicious. Perfect spices! I didn't like the eggplant too much. It was a super oily and they made it super spicy when I had asked for it to be mild. Overall this place is okay. I don't think I would order it again unless I was really really lazy.

My second time here and they set the bar really high after the first time. However this time the service was great but the food was horrible. Our chicken satay were not cooked all the way and were rushed to cook I can tell how tough they were and they just cut up and put on plate .? No sticks etc. The pad see eew was good but hardly any brocolli at all and the meat wasn't not that good in flavor or cooked all the way as well. I normally like my meat Med rare so I can hang but not this way. We asked for cucumber special roll and. They said they can't make that tonight. So we got rolls Royce roll it was pretty good . Will I come back I would say no....on to the next place

Not in the best Area of Pedro, but an amazing surprise on some great tasting Thai dishes and sushi. I absolutely love their Orange Chicken, not what I usually order at a Thai restaurant, but these tasted amazing. They have a good selection of sushi, sashimi and rolls. One of my favorites, is their Blue Crab Hand Roll. Very friendly staff, and the chef has even made samples of their cuisine for me to try. Eating in their dining area is a challenge (small), but if you manage to get a seat a the bar or table.....you are lucky!

They have the Best Pad See Ew I have ever eaten! The Thai Ice tea is pretty amazing too...you can actually taste the tea and not just milk with barely any flavor. All the noodles dishes here taste very authentic and cooked perfectly. Sushi and Thai food??? What a weird combo...that was my thought. But the sushi is pretty good considered it being a Thai restaurant.

Nice place for take out or delivery. The place itself is very small with a handful of tables and only one or two that can seat 4 people. They have a small sushi bar that seats maybe 5 people. I had the Chicken Satay and the Drunken Noodles both were pretty good and a nice big portion for the $. While I can say I have had better Thai food it was probably twice the price. The down sides are the parking, small dining area and the odd homeless people frequenting the 7-11 next door but if you can look past all that it's a great spot.

  • Jae M.

I've only been here once for take out but it was a pleasant experience. The building is definitely unassuming and I missed the restaurant bc it is out of place within the rest of the strip mall in my opinion. Anyways, the restaurant is small, maybe 30 people max at a time. I went in and placed my order and waited at a table since they weren't super busy. The waitress was super nice and brought me water while I waited because it was such a hot day. I ordered the veggie roll (boring, I know but I don't eat meat) and it was delicious. This place is a hidden gem in San Pedro.

I was craving sushi, but was hanging with a friend who doesn't eat any seafood. What to do. What to do. And then I found this place that offers both a JAPANESE and THAI menu! Score. I read that Jasmine Hana was super-small and was worried about coming here for a weekend lunch with a small group (there were four of us), but we lucked out. It's next to a 7-11 in a strip mall, but the food and homey service more than make up for the lack of ambience. My friends opted for the Thai menu and enjoyed their food. I ordered from the Japanese menu and got a SEAWEED SALAD and the BLOSSOM YELLOWTAIL ROLL (spicy mixed fish and cucumber inside, topped with yellowtail, slices of jalapeno, lemon peel and garlic chips and served with ponzu sauce and spicy yuzu sauce). Both were excellent! I do like hole-in-the-walls, but not usually for sushi and this little restaurant may very well have changed that bias. Too bad it's so damn far. Bonus...because of their dual menus, I got to wash down my sushi with some refreshing THAI ICED TEA! Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

4.5 stars. Need to come back to experience the dine-in experience. Stopped by to pick up some food to-go after visiting the Iong beach aquarium. First walking in, I was glad that we were getting food to go since the restaurant had all of 4 tables plus bar area that maybe would accommodate 15 ppl total. I love hole in the wall joints but we didn't have time to wait. You can order from their menu online (via yelp) for delivery or pick up. Very convenient! Food: tried a mix of Thai and Japanese - blossom yellowtail roll: spicy fresh fish, bright flavors, mix of textures. Love the details in this roll. It's topped with lemon peel zest and dried garlic flakes. Inside the fish is soft and flavorful, and there's an added crunch from radish(?). Dressed with ponzu cilantro sauce. Yum! ($14) - spicy beef salad. Beef is tender, with spicy pepper flakes. The salad portion was mainly raw onion, scallion, and some lettuce. If you do not enjoy onions, do not get this. The lime dressing was very strong. Citrus fish sauce flavor. ($7.50) - pad see ew with chicken. The noodles were very wide, cooked perfectly. Sauce was delicious and the chicken did not taste dry. Great noodle dish. ($8) The to go styrofoam containers were lined with foil so the hot dishes wouldn't melt the styrofoam. Nice touch. The portion sizes were also very generous. Prices were reasonable and food came out quickly. Will def stop by again if in the area!

Good Sushi & Thai under one roof? That's pretty amazing. Unfortunately, their Thai iced tea, isn't so great... It doesn't help that behind the sushi bar you can see their supplies and can't help but notice a box of "Thai Tea Mix," what is this some pre made stuff?? Ugh! Back to the food... Delicious! Come for the food and the good sized portions of quality sushi. Great place!

I LOVE Jasmine Hana, one of the BEST places to eat in San Pedro, sushi is ALWAYS on point, the Pad Thai, Seafood Spaghetti and pineapple fried rice are AMAZING. The atmosphere is really nice, it's very personal and the staff is amazing! I just wish they served beer :) the parking is a little annoying but the food is 100% worth it!

We went for the sushi and it was delicious. My favorite was the baby lobster roll. Great sauce, warm lobster, and Japanese mayo. It melted in my mouth. I also had shrimp tempura and it was good. Next time I go back I'm go to try the albacore roll my friend recommended.

Decent thai food, decent sushi- prices are a little steep for the quality in my opinion. Located in a questionable strip mall on Gaffey next to 7-11. If you're looking for better quality for the same prices, make the short drive to Torrance, you wont regret it!

  • Chris D.

This place is a little hole in the wall. The seating area is very small, but the food and the service were good. I only had the Thai food so I can't speak to their sushi, but the spicy fried rice and coconut soup were good.

Would give 2 1/2 if I could. Ordered Devil Wings and Shrimp/Chicken Pad Thai. The Devil Wings were DELICIOUS. I was planning on sharing, but decided to eat all of them myself. Not too spicy. Flavorful. Finger-licking good. Pad Thai - hence the low stars. Tasted citrusie (if that's a word). Yuck. Tons of noodles with about 4 pieces of meat. That's right - 4. They really skimped out on the shrimp and chicken. Had to hunt to find the few pieces they put in it. The worst Pad Thai I've ever eaten. Period.

I've yet to visit the restaurant. But I do order take out for delivery about once a month. The sushi is pretty good! Good quality and the rolls are yummy. And they deliver to PV for a small fee. Blossom yellowtail roll without the garlic chips - really good. =)

    (4)
  • Meisha B.

Service wasn't all that great && the sushi wasn't great either, their rolls are so tiny && over priced! The spicy tuna isn't even spicy! The sushi would have been better if there was bigger portions and rolls and of their tuna was actually spicy tuna!

  • Leslie L.

I absolutely adore the chicken yellow curry here! It is my favorite. The chicken is so tender it just falls apart at the touch of a fork. The curry is the perfect blend of sweet tangy and salty. They also add potato and carrot chunks in here while is a nice contrast in texture. This is the only thing I order time and time again. I've had a few other dishes but nothing comes close to the curry. Jasmine Hana deserves 5 stars for their quality of food, service, and really convenient delivery. I am subtracting a star from them for two reasons. One being that the dining area is so cramped and can at times be uncomfortable. For this reason, my only two options now are to pick up a to-go order or have them deliver my beloved curry. Picking up is a hassle as this 7-11 parking lot is a shit show full of wreck less drivers and homeless people to put it plainly. And delivery, well the order has to be over $20 for them to bring to, which my chicken curry isn't. So I'll always have to order some other side thing that I don't even really care about so that I don't have to endure the shit show parking lot. All in all this is a great Fusion restaurant that does it right!! I'm sure J Hana will be a Pedro staple for years to come!

The best rolls I have ever had! - the Dragon Roll, 911 roll, Seared Salmon Roll, BSC Roll, Double Dynamo Roll. The Drunken Noodles were sublime. The best Thai iced tea, with BOBA. The yellow tail collar was very tasty too.

This place is delicious as fuck ! Small but good. Sushi is bangin! And the Thai ice tea is fire! I haven't really explored the menu but it sure as hell looks good. I don't recommend the coconut seafood soup Tho....it was pretty gross....bad combination of flavors.

  • Megan T.

Giving it three stars because the sushi is excellent, everything else, not so much. My husband and I order sushi from this place once a month. Always fresh, fat rolls. My favorite is the 911 roll. We've tried the pad Thai and pad see ew, both a little dry and not enough flavor. I've had pad see ew from many thai restaurants, and never seen the kind of noodles jasmine hana uses. My husband tried the orange chicken the other day and said it was pretty tasty, so maybe they just suck at making noodle dishes. Basically this is our delivery sushi place. We've moved here from VA six months ago, and have yet to find a good thai place. I won't give up, though! Great thai food is worth the hunt.

Just moved to San Pedro and have been exploring delivery spots! No fridge yet! This was by far the best delivery we had and possibly my favorite Thai spot in the South Bay. We were more than happy! Surprised :) defiantly try what people recommend. The drunken noodles with tofu were awesome, my meat eating bf even liked the tofu. Also had a large Tom Yum soup with chicken (so flavorful and fresh and the chicken was white meat and not funky like at some Thai spot) also shared edamame, you can't really fuck that one up...good job Jasmine Hana. Ready to try the sushi

Jasmine Hana is my favorite sushi place. It's got a little of everything too, so my seafood-hating boyfriend can enjoy some delicious Thai food while I get my crunch roll. It's a great little restaurant. Definitely get the Thai tea with boba if you do too, I swear theirs taste better than any boba tea house.

4.5 stars! A hidden spot in a plaza off 1st and Gaffey in San Pedro, I was on a yelp search for some decent lunch specials in san pedro and I came upon this cute storefront with confusion. Thai? Sushi? Sashimi? Can it be?! My two favorite asian regional food...together in the same store!? Ahhhh! (angel then descends and drifts me into a sit at the sushi bar). Lovely waitress Claire greeted me when warming words of the freshest bites of sashimi to choose. And wait... spicy tuna rolls, 4 cuts of different sushi/sashimi, salad and miso soup for less than $10 bucks!? They brisked me up into the heavens when at one point I was feeling hopelessness with my internship lunch options in san pedro with only mediocre blue collar taco and frozen burger lunches... The staff is all thai and thai owned, but every morning get fresh fish from the port in small quantities served throughout the day. I have not yet tried their thai food but im sure it must be authentic and tasty. Must try MANGO STICKY RICE. Great dessert easy for two people to split.

This is our favorite local Asian food place. Prices are very reasonable and food is always delivered hot. (We've never actually eaten in the restaurant). Favorites are the chicken satay and the yellow curry. Kids of course like the chicken teriyaki. Delivery is usually pretty quick too.

Came in with my girlfriend for a quick lunch and we just loved this place. It's very small so if you want to come in with a large party you would have to call ahead. We took a seat at the sushi bar and it was nice and comfy. We ordered Fried dumplings to start and they were really good. You can have your Thia Iced tea with Bolba if you want. I ordered the Chicken Curry lunch special and it comes with a little salad and a couple of Fried Wontons. The Curry was delicious. Not too hot...not too mild...it was just right. I can't remember what my friend ordered because it was so good she didn't offer me any! We had such outstanding service here as well. They close between 3-5 and let us stay and finish our conversation without any rush to leave. I will definitely be back here soon. I can't wait to try other things on the menu.

Great cozy place for Thai and authentic sushi. Although a little tiny inside, there's nothing small about the value you get here. I always get the yellow curry with chicken and some sushi rolls and have never left dissatisfied. If available, try to sit at the sushi bar; you'll have a better view of the fresh sushi being prepared and won't have to bump elbows with another table. Great place, great Thai, great sushi.

Mmmmmmm!!!!! I've seriously been craving good Pad Thai for a while and have been extremely disappointed in a lot of places. This is the first place that blew me away with simply the smell! I've fallen in love!!! The establishment itself is small and quaint, which I love. I was surprised that it wasn't more busy during the lunch hour, but like I said it's quaint. Since I only tried the pad thai and tom yum soup (btw that's yummy too!) I don't feel comfortable fishing out a 5 star rating until I get consistent 5 star quality every time I go. Believe u me I I shall be going back!!!

the food is extremely nasty! no taste to the bad smelling food. the owners prejudice attitudes smell worst than the food. i don't want your stinky food, you eat it! and the only reason i gave you 1 star is because they make us. i rate you -0

The sushi was delicious. Prices are decent and affordable. Spent about $40 and some change on three rolls and a tea. Had a chef's special and the double tuna roll( can't remember the third roll). The employees are friendly, so great service. Neat "hole in the wall" type place. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the lack of space. They only have a hand full of tables and they're all right next to each other.

Just had Jasmine Hana for first time and YES I have found my new sushi spot! If you like sushi and live in San Pedro you have to try it. Did I mention its also a Thai food place! Pad Thai, Pad see eew is bomb! Best of both worlds!

  • Dee D.

Stupid bomb Papaya Salad. This place has tasty dishes there's no confusion there but the prices kinda kill it. Some of the speciality rolls get to high in price... The employees are nice. A very TINY place. The cool part is you can go to the liquor store next door and bring some drinks in if you'd life.

Got the lunch special with the panang curry and wasn't impressed. Despite having called my order in ahead, it didn't seem like they'd even started to prepare it until after I got there. The curry was so-so. The fried bananas were the worst I've ever had. I probably shouldn't have expected much from a place that serves pad thai and sushi. Super tiny inside.

  • Samantha L.

I really liked this place. For their $6.50 lunch special, I got an appetizer (miso soup) a choice of an entree dish that comes with salad, and a dessert (coconut ice cream). It was such a good deal. I got the pad thai lunch special. The portion was big, I could not finish it. lol. And the coconut ice cream was really good. Another time I went here, I got the pad see ew. And the Tom Kha, all which were really good. I haven't tried the sushi here yet. I definitely will come here all the time because it is super cheap and good and near my home.

I'm torn writing this review. I'd almost rather review the sushi and Thai menus separately; the difference in quality is that great. I primarily order delivery but I have got takeout once. That time, I felt their dining room was smallish but cozy, and they had no trouble filling the tables. That said, Jasmine Hana seems understaffed. I noticed only one woman taking table, takeout, and phone orders, and serving those tables. So things run a bit long; my takeout and delivery orders regularly take 50-60 minutes to fill. The food is delicious though, if you plan ahead. I've greatly enjoyed the curries and the spicy eggplant. The sushi has been hit and miss. Jasmine Hana gets some very good salmon, and some of the specialty rolls are tasty, but too many things are full of rich, creamy sauces, or come heavily topped with panko crumbs or fried onions. A few light favors are to be found but many rolls are heavy, salty, and fried. In the end, Jasmine Hana can be a good choice for dinner, with a little patience. Patience with the setting, the service, and the menu. Lean towards the Thai offerings and it'll be easier.

I love this place and eat her atleast once a month, if not more. I love their Thai(large portions) and their sushi. My usuals are the Pad See oo and the Sashimi combination. I only warn you guys to be very patient with their take out. It usually takes a lot longer than it should, but I promise it is worth the wait!

Walked in, walked out. Not a sushi bar. Barely a restaurant. Basically Asian junk food. Maybe it tastes fine. I prefer healthier food.

My favorite Thai place. The waitress Claire, with her sparkling blue eyes always remembers you and what you like. The space is small, but that just makes the ambiance cozy. The sushi chef is always friendly and makes excellent sushi. I feel i can say that confidently b/c my husband travels regularly to Asia and has had sushi in several countries, but he loves the sushi here. The Tom Kha soup is delicious and the Thai tea is my favorite. I have the Pad See Ew regularly with fried tofu. This is a staple for me and always reliably good. Sushi-wise, i recommend to BSC roll with Japanese mayo and baked scallops. There is also the Albacore Lovers Roll. Best of all, if I can't make the walk around the block they deliver!

After a long day of shooting "The Fall" all of us cast and crew, decided Thai food was the option. Absolutely great customer service and the food was amazing. Great selection if you are looking for authentic Thai & Sushi at an affordable price.

Maybe i just had some bad luck, but really, this is one of the few times Yelp really let me down. The lady and I arrived for an early dinner at 5:30. They opened 15 minutes late - no big deal - we sit down at the bar anyways. While waiting for someone to take our order, I found a small cockroach on their neon marker board. I took the liberty of killing it with the menu... loud slap on the wall and absolutely no reaction from the sushi chef. I'm thinking, ok, so what if there's a roach, probably just bad luck (they have an A health grade). So we order green curry, spicy fried rice, and a Blossom Roll (one of the more expensive offerings because I like yellowtail). The food arrived really quickly but we had no utensils. I specifically ask for spoons and forks and only received forks and am asked to eat with just that. OK, so now I'm annoyed and eating CURRY with a fork and giant serving spoons. I was not surprised when the roll came out completely underwhelming. The yellowtail on top of the roll was not fresh and was very thinly sliced. Needless to say, we quickly ate whatever food we could stomach and hightailed out of there. You couldn't pay me to eat here again. I should have known the Yelp rating was fake when they publish 4.5 stars all over their menus. Not to mention this is closer to $$ in price (closer to $15-20/person for food and drink, obviously more if you're eating sushi).

Awesome. Cute little place, with good sushi and thai food. Fresh fish, large portions, and good prices. Definitely worth a try.

I chose to gamble on this place & lost.. That's why my Vegas trips are filled with rump shaking instead of dice rolling.. The same reason why it's 12:29 am & I'm lying in an amazing king size bed at a beautiful ocean view hotel, mourning my $40 spent to "Treat" myself. I have only had sushi this bad once before & the place was called Sushi Deli-- a no brainer. I ordered the Alaska & Caterpillar, Alaska tasted like cat food smells & I crunched into eel bones in the caterpillar. Sad & losing sleep over sushi. Don't, just don't.

WHAT? Really? I'm so confused. I don't why this place has so many stars... First of all the location of the restaurant is pretty shady. Its on Gaffey, next to 7-Eleven, and there's always a bunch of bums standing around there. I don't even feel safe parking there, anyways... Service: The service was decent. They didn't do anything extra special or anything to be complaint about. Presentation: The restaurant pictures on Yelp taken here is so misleading! The restaurant is dimly lit. Inside though, it might be decorated cutely with the cherry blossom mural? Its VERY tight in there. There's literally no space to move around. The seating and tables are SO close together. If it was a crowded night, you'd be sitting hip to hip together... So small... Food: I wasn't too impressed with the food. It was mostly greasy for me. Though, I think they were a bit generous with the portion. The flavor was a bit off. When I had the sushi, the rice seem old, and the fish wasn't fresh. I was really disappointed with all the reviews given to this place...it's totally not what I expected. They are also a bit pricey...when they shouldn't be. Anyways, I definitely recommend eating at places like Baramee Thai or Pumarin Thai, because those are more authentic Thai food. I will not be coming back.

Very small and really friendly staff :) food tastes good I haven't been to many sushi places in San Pedro but this one is always pact.I go there on my break between classes. The shrimp and spicy tuna is favorable but my favorite dish is the shishito peppers. But unfortunately the last 2 times I went I got sick , maybe their fish was bad or what I ordered didn't sit well with me, I wouldn't have mentioned it but 2 different times makes one wonder.... :(

Can I rate a place I've never been to? Am I breaking some Yelp code of conduct? NAW... not when I order delivery regularly from this spot. I don't know about their decor, the size of the establishment, or even how their table service is. What I do know is that the PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE rocks my world, the SEAFOOD TOM KHA haunts my dreams (in a good way) and the bf and I have had to agree to disagree on whether the GREEN CURRY is better than the YELLOW CURRY. The DRUNKEN NOODLES with chicken are pretty tasty as is the PAD THAI. I've yet to try any of their sushi items, I'm just too stuck on the Thai menu. They're delivery service is excellent and we've never encountered any problems with delayed deliveries or forgotten items. My only regret is that they don't have Panang curry, maybe this would settle the curry dispute between my bf and I.

Absolutely delicious! I haven't had their Japanese food yet, but that's only because I enjoyed the Thai food so much the first time. I just moved to San Pedro a month ago, and I've already been here 3 times, and seeing as how it was so good all 3 times. I most likely will not need to search for a different Thai place to eat. I also have not dined in, because they also deliver, so I cannot rate the staff, or interior of their location.

There are so few times in life when a meal makes you soooo happy. The sushi plates were just delicious. We really liked the 911 sushi roll and the albacore lover roll. We brought friends for the first time and they were really impressed. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. We plan on brining our friends and family over. We highly recommend this place. :-)

My favorite place in San Pedro to order Sushi! Only downside to delivery is sometimes it arrives cold, but we live at the other end of town, and you never know with traffic. Always delicious and fresh. Always get the order right. Always polite delivery as well!

I love to get take-out from here...even if i have time to sit and eat or just to pick up, it does not dissapoint. Great service, okay pricing, and good food. Many call it a "hidden gem" and it is....great sushi or thai food...

Chicken wontons were all greasy and not appetizing. Drunken noodles were decent, still very oily, and lots of hard, inedible chili flakes. Teriyaki chicken was not too bad, but dark meat only. The fried rice with mutliple meats was decent, but not a lot of meat for the price. Delivery took about 50 minutes, and at least the driver was polite. We just moved to the area, and this was the first time we ordered from here. Sadly, we have to find a new Thai place, because we will never order from here again.

  • Nay G.

I love the food here. It is very yummy! My favorite dishes are red curry, drunken noodles, caterpillar rolls, pad Thai, their Thai iced tea and mango with sticky rice are also good. They always provide friendly service even though my favorite waitress no longer works there (forgot her name but she always had a big smile and was always friendly) For me, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but it's worth it when the place has good food and great service. When I go I'll pay about $40-45 (for two people), but I will have leftovers for the next day. The place inside is small, but aesthetically pleasing with cherry blossom trees painted on the walls. I like to eat in, but my husband likes to get it delivered or pick it up simply because he's so tall and the place is just tiny (tall people problems) Parking sucks because it is shared with other businesses, but once you're inside it's no big deal. I would definitely recommend to others, couples, or friends getting together for lunch or dinner.

It's more of a 3 1/2 star, but I'll round up since I am very please with their customer service. I've gone once before with my boyfriend and we had ordered salmon sushi, tuna sushi, unagi sushi, dragon roll and unagi bowl. The sushi tasted pretty good (although I've had better), but their dragon roll's eel sauce had just the right about of sweetness. I've eaten a lot of dragon roll and other eel sauces were always too sweet. It was my first time eating an unagi bowl, but it was quite delicious. Their restaurant is small and petite with about only 6 tables (if I remember correctly). But it's such a cute little place with such a friendly staff I completely enjoy it.

I was looking at Thai places in Pedro, and this one was the highest rated, so I figured I had to check it out. First off, is it a Thai place serving sushi or a sushi place selling Thai? My perception is the former. Plus, I expect that no true Japanese sushi chef would ever taint his craft with even other styles of Japanese food, let alone Thai. They were selling a lot of large "crunch" type rolls, though. I did have some sushi, but I'm considering this a Thai place. And the Thai was good and reasonably priced. Second thing you need to know is that this may be the smallest restaurant that you've ever been to. Don't bring a large party. There are 5 to 6 small tables, depending on the configuration. Personally, I probably won't dine in again on a Friday or Saturday night. It's just too crazy. I would just do take out. On other nights, you'll probably be fine. Third thing is that they have no liquor license, but they do let you bring in your own beer from the liquor store across the street and they gave us frosted mugs and an opener to use. Nice touch. I think it's the service that does it for me here. The maitre-d' slash owner slash server runs the front of the house like well-oiled machine. They were slammed last night and she kept everything running smoothly and she was very accommodating of our young kids.

Called this place for delivery on a Thursday afternoon around 2:30. I was immediately disappointed when they said they couldn't deliver, and asked if I could pick up. If I could pick up why would I ask them to deliver? My car was currently getting worked on so I couldn't drive anywhere. When I told them that it says online that they deliver and I could not pick up, the lady put me on hold asked someone and came back on the phone and said that they could deliver...... Ok?? I proceeded to order beef and broccoli lunch special, shishito edamame, chicken garlic pepper, and shrimp tempura. I wanted to try the rock shrimp tempura but after repeating to her several times she finally had to put me on hold again and ask someone who said they don't have it anymore. For four items the total was less than $40 which is not too bad. They said delivery would take 30-45 mins. But it was way quicker than that, only 20 mins. The shrimp tempura was great, it was still crunchy and not oily at all. I would not recommend the edamame, all I could taste was burnt charcoal. They should've just cooked it with salt and it would've tasted better. The rest of the food was pretty good too. Overall, I would probably order from here again.

Great sushi! I went with a friend and we ordered 4 rolls. Hands down the BEST Philly Roll I have ever had in my life! Here it is the next day and I'm still think about it! The place was clean and the staff was nice. It is a small facility. Maybe five or six tables and a few chairs at the sushi bar...not real busy when we went! It was soooooo good!

  • Wen S.

The blossom yellow tail is sooo good! But be warned, it's spicy. My only complain is when my roll breaks apart when I pick it up with my chop sticks. The service is excellent. The female service is very sweet and courteous! I went alone, ordered miso soup and 1 roll, no drinks. Bill came out $20 with tip. This not your everyday lunch place unless you make a lot of money! Although the restaurant is small, it looks clean with relaxed ambiance. Parking can be tough although they have a lot, they share the space in a busy business complex. Overall, it's a great dining experience! I will definitely come back again.

I may be generous today but this place is a stellar HOLE in the WALL. You can tell that the staff put extra TLC into their food and the food is pretty darn good. The prices are not cheap and not everything is amazing, but consistent is their standard. My boyfriend raved about their tasty sushi last time he came and said that the thai food was pretty damn good too. I was excited to order their wings of angels (stuffed chicken wings) because it did not have pork inside which many thai places use. This was well made and had great ingredients, but the flavor was kinda bland... Drunken noodles had a creeper spice in it and by the end of the meal, my bf and I were sweating! I would definitely ask them to take it down a notch next time. I am used to thai places using the green chile chopped up and not the dry red peppers so I think that is what made the difference. We also ordered one sushi roll but I can't remember which one. Maybe the rainbow roll? Fish quality was great and I could see the time and effort the sushi chef put into his rolls. I am sure (in my mind) that he went to sushi chef school or something because he was so methodical in his preparation. 5 stars all the way! Beware that the place is tiny and may have a wait.

Place is a gem among a dirty drag of a strip mall. You'll find it right next door to the 7-Eleven shop on 1st/Gaffy. It's worth the U-turn, or turn left on 1st and make a u-turn in the residential to get into the tiny parking lot. On my second visit, we were graciously greeted, and the waitress was consistent with her hospitality....she took back our Drunken Noodle entree because it was too spice for my friend!! and brought back another full plate of the same dish w/o the spicy! like a magic trick.....craaazzy cool. The cashew nut pork was good, the pork being slightly chewy. the best part of the place: ambiance. it's small, intimate, the music is low key, but contemporary, and they will dim the lights on certain nights....unless they stopped that because they have a flat screen now. Note that they also serve sushi and thai. I'm not an expert on sushi, but the first time I had some here it was good!! I find this place reasonable, cute, and very hospitable. Try it!

This yummy spot his hidden in a messy ghetto tight shopping center but hey you learn to love it. I dislike the parking so beware! I've only tried the thai food side but they do serve sushi, can't wait to try it soon. I ordered the pad thai & my mom had the beef broccali... The pad thai was pretty good, portions could be a tad bigger but its good food over all. The broccali beef was a hit yum & also wasn't that big portioned either but good. The service is great & very polite. I will continue to come here but instead of eating in like I've done before ill order togo..its pretty small inthere.

I used to be a skeptic about places that offer multiple cuisines. Well, this place is pretty good for offering both Thai AND sushi. Have friends who like either or? Take them here. haha. GOOD: Sushi+Sashimi Combo Albacore roll Surprised the cuts of fish were fresh and decently delightful. The waitress was very nice and offered to extend her music collection to me next time I drop by. They have lunch specials which are a great deal, too. I like this place, it is tiny, but a nice small find in and around San Pedro.

I LOVE this place! I recently moved to San Pedro and was so disappointed they didn't have any good Japanese or Chinese food at first. Then I found this place. They are wonderful! Every time I call they are so friendly. Great customer service! They deliver so whenever I get the craving they are there. A tad bit expensive but the quality of the food you get makes up for it. I will continue ordering from this place, and suggest the same for you guys! Keep up the good work Jasmine Hana!

One thing about moving to the South Bay is that I haven't had great Thai food yet. The entrees we ordered were way too salty and way too greasy. The hot sauce seemed to be watered down, which is not great because my fiance and I LOVE spicy. The waitress was incredibly friendly but the food was meh.

Amazing customer service and great food! We went a few days ago and got take-out since the other reviews suggested that the restaurant was small (true) and in a seedy area (also true, complete with bums supposedly wanting "change for a quarter" *_*). While we were waiting for our food, the waitress gave us glasses of water and a small bowl of edamame to eat! The restaurant itself is small - 5 tables with a little sushi bar, but it is nicely decorated and the windows and door have blinds covering them so you don't have to see the weirdos roaming around outside. When we got home we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary can of Coca Cola and the generous portions. We got the papaya salad, duck curry, and the garlic/pepper beef, which were all very tasty. We also got the sticky rice with mango dessert - YUMMM!! Very happy with this place and will definitely be a repeat customer :).

This is a household favorite. I usually get a couple of rolls (spicy tuna is good!), and my partner gets his pad thai with several special requests. Like no shrimp, no seafood of anykind. I know I know... what kind of pad thai is that? but that's how he likes it... and they ALWAYS oblige. We order take out and it's always ready by the time we get there. Not to mention the Thai tea is HUGE. . . the best Thai tea deal ever. The decor inside is cutesy. They have a little fish tank next to the sushi bar (kind of ironic to keep the pet fish next to the food fish) and the ambience is relaxing. Definitely worth checking out.

Really cute place, tiny tiny TINY though, easier to just order to go. Love the curry, the soups (the lemon flavored and coconut are my fav). They have this roll with spicy tuna, cream cheese, lobster and scollops baked on top YUUUUM! Boyfriend loves the fried rice which I enjoy as well. It's just yummy here, haven't had anything I don't like EXCEPT that they use fake crab in anything that says "seafood". I'm not a fan, I've asked for none of that and extra of any and all of the other seafood with a resounding no =P Oh well. Besides that, totally yummy

Great food, thai dishes are on point, sushi is fresh and all the staff are friendly attentive and helpful. My only critique is the location of the store and poor access due to limited parking. The area is a little rough, and parking can be tight. Also the room inside the dinning area is small. Unfortunately there's not much they can do about that but I if these things don't bug you then by all means you need to go to Jasmine Hana or at least get some take out because its a spot on place to eat.

They seriously have their pad kee mao (drunken noodle) on POINT! I was super excited when I first tried it, having just moved to San Pedro not too long ago. This is THE only thai spot in the area that has their spicy factor up to par with my thai-food-snob standards. The red curry is also good too. They also have some of the best blue crab handrolls I've EVER had... They're seriously HOOKED up to the max with crab... The handroll is overflowing & bursting with crab! It's also mixed with yuzu--FREAKIN GENIUS (one of my favorite spices). Orange chicken is ok... I would've gave them 5 stars if they had more consistency however... A good amount of times, the pad kee mao & red curry lacked in flavor (I've ordered these at least 20 times).

Loved the Papaya Salad, but was disappointed in the Pad Thai... Pretty much just noodle and not much chicken nor veggies. Blah. May return for another try, the waiter was super nice and sushi looked good. Loyal customers and the guy knew their orders before they called it. Nice!

By far the best Asian food in San Pedro. Perhaps the best fried rice I've ever had.. and I've lived all over... including new york. The chicken is real white meat chunks of tasty lean meat. The thai noodle dishes are good also.. I'm not huge fan of sushi or thai.. more into Chinese and vietnamese.. so my only complaint would be the variety on the menu.. but I am sure the sushi is good here also. Compared to places like shin shin and lucky star.. this place has much more quality to the ingredients.. and I'm surprised because of the location.. there's always people outside begging for change... but thankfully these guys deliver to your door.

I stumbled upon Jasmine Hana on Yelp and was drawn to their rating, so I decided to give it try. I was kind of expecting a nice sit down restaurant, but boy I was wrong. Located along a strip mall next to 7-11, I was kind of iffy about eating there, but being that it was late, I decided to give it a try. Since they offer both sushi & Thai food, you definitely have some options on their menu. I've been all about curry lately, so my go-to order was their beef panang curry. The portion was generous and the level of spiciness was on par with my taste buds. However, I do wish rice came with it, but that was no biggie - just had to order a side of it. In addition, we ordered the beef pad see ew, which was delicious! Furthermore, we added a crunch roll to our dinner just for the hell of it and that too was pretty good. I can see why this place is popular for both dining in and take out. During dinner I'm pretty they had 3 or 4 pick up orders. Along with great food was their great service. If you're in the area and looking for Thai/Sushi, I would definitely give this place a try.

We are regular customers or should I say were! I am very disappointed with their customer service!! Called in an order for pick up, we got here and showed them a $15 off of 30 certificate we purchased at restaurant.com and the rude lady their said this is for dine in only, but no where was that noted on the certificate. We were basically forced to eat there! After 10 minutes she finally brought us water (there was only 1 other table their). She finally brought us our bill and she had added 7$tip for herself, when she did not deserve it, with the amount of attention she paid to us. We ended up saving only $2 even after we used a $15 off, such a rip off!!! Advice to the owner, make sure you state this next time!!

i've been here a few times now and i'm still very torn about how i feel for this place. food has been good so far, but everything else that adds to the experience has been a bit disappointing (parking lot is tight and difficult, restaurant itself is on the filthy side, not much seating options, prices are slightly above avg based on my experiences with other restaurants on certain menu items). i can't say they're totally bad, but i can't say i'm a loyal "fan" either. nevertheless, i say, give them a try and see for yourself. again, the food isn't bad tasting at all. so worst case scenario, you'll agree with my disappointments and still leave feeling full. :)

Was really pleasantly surprised to find this place. A co-worker suggested it. I was leery about the location, but very happy with sampling the lunch combo. Received soup, salad (zesty peanut dressing) sushi roll and 4pc sashimi. Very thick cuts on the sashimi!! I was surprised that the rice on the sashimi and rolls was refrigerator cold and had a bite. Not the usual sticky rice from the steamer. The crispy rice was REALLY tasty, but can use a little draining from the oil, comes out a little oily. I loved it as a way to get a sushi fix locally until I can get out further for my favorite spots. (There are only a couple sushi places that I fancy.) I will say though, I'm looking forward to trying some more the rolls after my initial tasting.

I just moved to San Pedro and found this place. I have only eaten there twice. The place is very small and not much in the area of decor. I had the 3 Sauces Fish and it was excellent. They had some leaves on it (don't know what type) but they were slightly cooked and partially crispy, very good. I really enjoyed the dish. Service was very friendly. Second time there we ordered a bunch of rolls which were very good. Unfortunately, they don't have a liquor license, so NO BEER.

Located on the outside rim of the San Pedro dining corridor. This mom and pop shop is by the seven eleven offers Japanese and Thai selections. I happen to consider this place based upon reviews. We came in early evening and staff was quick to greet. We are directed to seat where we wanted as it was fairly empty. The lady was nice I get utensils, and the menus out. So many pages of selections. Beverages nestled in the middle. Organized by Thai and Japanese selections. Varying items that are priced competitive with other area offerings. My colleague ordered 7 piece sushi combo plate and an order of egg rolls. I ordered the charishi and an order of Gyoza. Appetizers were fairly quick to arrive. Hot from the fryer. Egg rolls where filled healthy with vegetables. 6 piece Gyoza a good mix of meat and vegetable filling. A nice savory dipping sauce for the egg rolls and sweet sauce for the Gyoza. Appetizers were good. Entrees came at a reasonable time to around when we finished our appetizers. Water refill was consistent. The sushi combo looked pretty generous with the yellow requested. The charashi sashimi with nice thick cuts of fish including but not limited to salmon, tuna, shrimp, yellow fish and several white fish. Fish slices were mostly thick. Hearty amount of the varying fish with some rice. A little bit of everything include radish. Some of fish was incredibly fresh others pieces may have varied. Healthiest amount of fish I have seen in a charashi. Some fatty some lean fish. More then enough to full us up. Bill and checks were settled promptly. Good: hearty portions, affordably priced for the various dining patron, friendly efficient staff. Bad: some fish was not as fresh as I have been accustomed to but can't complain for the quantity of fish I found in the my bowl. I would come back to visit in San Pedro.

Love the food guys, but in my last three visits I was intercepted by the drunks and crack addicts that bum around in front of 7-11. It would be nice if the landlord would clean up a bit here. Yes, crack addict, I'm not exaggerating either. I almost felt bad for the guy as his crack pipe dropped and shattered.

San Pedro has delivered one pleasant surprise after another. Jasmine Hana was a great experience. They have a really sweet and friendly staff, and they are serving sushi and Thai food...a couple of my faves. We went on a Monday night, so they were pretty slow. It was kind of nice. We had the restaurant all to ourselves. It's a quaint little restaurant with a small staff, but we were immediately made to feel at home. We ordered a few rolls and the drunken noodles. The drunken boodles come with the thick rice noodles. My fave! They were delicious and full of so much flavor. We also ordered the Blossom Yellowtail Roll, the 911 Roll, and a roll with soft shell crab in it. I already forgot the name of the roll, but all of the sushi rolls were tasty. The fish tasted fresh. My only drawback was the amount of rice in the rolls. The rolls were really ricey if that make any sense. I like less rice in my rolls because I think the rice sometimes takes away from the other flavors, but everything was still really good. I should also mention that it was my hubby's birthday when we came here, and I let the waitress know because I wanted to order a dessert with a candle so I could sing to my hubby. Unfortunately, mangoes are not in season, so no mango sticky rice this time around. Bummer...I will be back for that mango stick rice. The waitress, however, brought out the cutest tempura ice cream dessert ever. The staff also accompanied me in singing to my hubby. They were so sweet. I will totally come back if I am ever in the area :)

A hidden gem! Excellent sushi that is tightly packed and doesn't fall apart, super fresh, and crisp. Absolutely delicious at a reasonable price for the quality. The only thing that would make this spot better is if it was BYOB or they served beer and wine. Come on, who doesn't want a Sapporo with their sushi?

Our favorite place for Thai and sushi! Pad see ew is amazing-highly recommend it! Only downfall of this place is that it's so tiny. Sometimes packed out but you don't usually have to wait too long!

jack of all trades but master of none. This restaurant combines both Thai food and Sushi, and like other restaurants with too broad a menu, it fails to excel in either. The Thai food was decent but the sushi didn't taste fresh. Friendly service though.

After the Tallship Festival, we were craving sushi and thai food. Lo and behold they had a Japanese/Thai food place. Seeing the reviews on how it's a small place, we called ahead of time. Though they don't make reservations, they'll let you know what's available. Ambiance: * Parking | Parking is pretty tight to as it is in the middle of a quick-e mart and I believe a hair salon. Thought it's limited it shouldn't be packed. * Seating | This place can seat probably 15-20 people tops with some bar seating as well. There is probably room for 1 group of 6. * Feels | When your mom told you not to judge a book by its cover...listen to her. Yeah it's location is unusual but if you go inside it's quite a nice looking place. Modern music and Japanese art here and there. Food: (Papaya Salad, Blossom Yellowtail Roll, Rainbow Roll, Albacore lover roll) -I thought the salad was good, mildly blended with fish sauce, sprouts and all that jazz. However my gf said it wasn't authentic papaya salad. O_o -As for the rolls, they were delicious as the rice was well prepped and the fish tasted fresh. The quality was superb and presentation was excellent. Customer Service: Our server was very friendly and quick with our orders. Always greeted us with a smile. Overall: * 4 stars. The price was good, food was delicious and the location is pretty proximal to other things (Friendship Bell, Iowa Ship). I can see myself coming back here and would recommend this place to others as well; especially if you can't make up your mind between Thai or Japanese. Advice: * I recommend calling ahead of time if you plan to sit in. The place is pretty small.

It would have been 5 stars if our food was delivered when promised. But, that being said, the mister and I were VERY surprised at the quality and taste of the food. We ordered: Devil Wings Drunken Noodles with Pork Tom Kha with shrimp and Yellow curry with chicken Now, I was battling a little bit of a head cold, but despite my lack of tastebuds, everything was so tasty. My 2 favorite items were the Tom Kha soup and Devil Wings. The soup was spicy, but you could taste all of the flavors: coconut, lemon grass, spices, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The yellow curry had insanely huge pieces of chicken - there was absolutely no skimping on meat there. And it was juicy! The curry was a little too watery for me, but I'm not docking points for that. I think it's a regional thing. And here's where I'm weird, and also not knocking points for this, I'm not a fan of the type of noodles the drunken noodles had so I didn't eat much of it. BUT the flavor was really good and I did eat the onions and peppers. :D I absolutely LOVE that they deliver and they have a lot to chose from. OH! And take advantage of their 30% off (for their grand opening) because after all that food our bill was well under $30!

Loved the food but the homeless people that have decided to make the plaza walkway their residence has detoured me from eating here. Tried to call and notify the business but they hung up on me.

Very nice waiter; tiny place; moderately large menu - Thai and Japanese. No alcohol, but BYOB OK. Good, fresh sushi. I LOVE that menu clearly tells you which items have real crab and which have imitation. One of us is a cilantro-hater, and had to watch carefully - they use it for garnish as well as in dishes here. Going back soon to try the special rock shrimp tempura!

This review is for the sushi part. We did not try any of the Thai food. First thing first, the restaurant is really small. It has about 4 tables and seat maybe 20 people at the most if there are 20 people in there, it would be really really crowded. The sushi is really good and fresh. Usually I tried to avoid small sushi restaurants because I feel that their fish would not be as fresh as bigger ones, but this is one of the exception. Interesting that for such a small restaurant, their menu is huge! It covers both Japanese AND Thai food. I have no idea where where they would keep all the ingredients for both cuisines. The sushi we ordered was really good and we would definitely go back if we live closer.

First impression of a fusion thai & Japanese place - was why would anyone combine the two ! And would it be decent ? Gave it a shot based on yelp reviews - Ordered the Tom Yum Soup, and Prik King w White Rice. The Tom Yum - was not overly powerful, and tasted authentic. Compared to many thai restaurants, they give you a generous helping of tomatoes, mushrooms, cilantro, and spring onions. Soup alone was a big enough portion for 3 people (if the party gets additional dishes!) .. Prik King - was ok - not as spicy or flavorful as other thai places. .. Dinner prices cheaper than most Thai options out there. Coz of the portion and price, and decent flavors, will likely be back to try out Sushi & other thai dishes! Very attentive & friendly service.

Very Good!! Will definitely order from them again. The Pad Thai, Sweet and Sour Tofu and egg rolls were great! and the iced tea was fresh!! Tofu was cooked very well! Cant go wrong with ordering these dishes. Egg rolls come with 4. the 2 dishes plus egg rolls is the perfect portion for 2 people. They even arrived 15 min before expected.

Fusion of Japanese and Thai? No, they serve real Japanese food and real Thai food! No snobby creative dishes there. Everything we had tasted great. Being Japanese, I'm skeptic about sushi made by non-Japanese sushi chef, but it was wonderful and very fresh. Very friendly staff. We were there on a Friday night and they were crazy busy. Phones were constantly ringing for delivery and takeout orders, and new dine-in customers keep coming in. It took quite some time to get all our food, but I still had to give them 5 stars. Their food makes it very worthwhile. Although their to-go & delivery menus says "Open 7 days", they are not. They are closed on Sundays. According to the owner (I guess the very young sushi chef is?), he just hired some new staff so they'll start opening 7 days a week with quicker service from September. That's at least what their plan is at this moment. He said weeknights were slower, so if you don't like it too crowded, you may want to try them for these days. Also, he said they do catering service with good price, so if you are planning to have a party and food catered, that would be a good place too I think.

The outside is deceiving. You think it's just a hole in the wall, but when you walk in it's a cute little place with a lot of smiling faces. I ordered the Tom Yum and after a little wait my soup was ready. It was close to closing and there was only a few people inside so taking my food home was a good call. When I got home I dug in and the surge of lemongrass and spices fluted my palette. It was absolutely delicious. Seasoned to perfection and I got a lot for my $8 bucks. I think I just found my new Thai spot.

Recently came here for lunch. Great little place but not enough seating. Had a Blue crab hand roll and the fish w/ thai curry plate. Both good. I'm Thai as well and think the curry sauce was on point. Will come again if I'm in the area and Busy Bees isn't beckoning me.

Very good Thai food. Love the curries, the noodles, etc. All of it is fantastic. Likely not a place I would sit down to eat though, too small.

Great little Thai place. Had takeout Thai only, can't speak to the Sushi side of their offerings. Prik King Green Beans were great as well as the Satay Chicken. Pad Thai Noodles were a miss, all noodles and little else. Plenty of other options on the menu to try instead. Called in an order earlier in the evening to be picked up at 9:45pm after work. It was ready, hot and fresh right when I got there. Excellent food and service for a good price. And yes, it is a tiny hole in the wall with maybe 5 tables and 4 seats at the Sushi bar but worth the tight quarters for the really tasty food. Go and enjoy, explore the menu and know that what you are getting in for is great food from a little gem of a tiny restaurant with big flavor.

The Pad Thai is genuine Thai style, nice. Portions are huge so it's good value. Waitress very friendly and attentive. It's not a fancy place so no jacket and tie required...

You would think that they couldn't pull off Japanese and Thai cuisine in the same restaurant, but they can! Staff is super friendly and attentive, almost like you are in country with how much they baby you while you're there. Sushi is on point, and the Thai dishes are great as well. Neither nationality suffers as a result of serving them on the same menu. We had a bunch of different sushi dishes, then my friend got a thai noodle dish and shared...it was delicious too! We all had the Mango sticky rice for desert, a Thai dish. It was all great surprising. Down sides: The place is very small, maybe a total of 4 tables plus 4 stools at the sushi bar, so they need to expand. If you don't get there early, you will be waiting to eat. Plus, bathroom way in the back through the kitchen and such. Finally, the bill was definitely not for discount food. You will pay for the quality you experience. Not a dive joint, even though it is in a 7-11 parking lot. Would've gone for 5 stars if it was larger, easier to get a hold of a table, and a bit cheaper in price. I mean the 5 star option up top says "Woohoo! As good as it gets!". It could get a little good-er. They need to have a 4.5 star option. :)

The following is from a take-out perspective. Service 5/5 Besides the food, the one thing that I really noticed was the service here. The server was super-friendly. She offered me a complimentary thai ice tea and water and said that she could bring my food out to my car. Food 5/5 The cuisine here isn't really jap/thai fusion, it's more like both thai and japanese cuisine offered in one place. The roasted duck curry was very good. The dish had the right amount of heat without being overpowering. The baked mussels were cooked to perfection; there was just the right amount of mayo and toppings. the spider roll was crispy crunchy goodness. Ambience 3/5 I am giving this place a 3/5 for ambience because as other reviews have stated, this is a "hole in the wall." I have driven by the place numerous times without giving it a second glance. There are only 4-5 tables in this tiny joint. I would recommend that you give this place a try :-)

Amazing sushi, amazing service, the Tom yum was fabulous. We were randomly in the neighborhood and read yelp reviews and stopped by. Loved it and will definitely be back if we are ever in San Pedro.

This place gets 5 stars for good reason. The service is impeccable, the food is of great quality for a great price, and the setting is really cute. From the outside of the restaurant, I expected a fast-food place! But while the place is small, the decorations and the white tablecloths really give it an elegant setting. The waitress was SUPER nice to us when we went around 2:50. We didn't even notice that they closed at 3:00 because they were so attentive to us even though we sat in 40 minutes past their closing time. She brought us whatever we needed/ asked for. Which, sadly, is more than what I can say for a lot of other restaurants. The FOOD though, the FOOD is amazing. Such huge portions for a good price! We got 2 lunches combos for $6.50 each. Chicken Pad Thai for me and Panang Curry for the bf. Came with miso soup, an egg roll, and a dessert (sticky rice with mango). The Pad Thai was amazing (much better than I expected, actually). The only thing we didn't like were the egg rolls, but I don't care much for egg rolls anyways. $17.00 for two lunches, huge portions (and I had leftovers!). Too far from UCLA for me to come here regularly, but anytime I come to the beach I am definitely eating at Jasmine Hana. COME EAT HERE :D

Believe the 5-star reviews of Jasmine Hana. Both service and food are exceptional. Take-out is as good as dine-in. Ingredients are fresh and the quality high. For example, the beef is tender, not the gristly waste some places toss in. There is a touch of art in the preparation of each dish that I've had, too. It's like the ethos of the sushi bar that's been squeezed into the restaurant's tiny space extends back to the woks: great care goes into appearance, placement, and, presentation, but without pretense or self-consciousness. Just go.

Went here with my husband and in laws. It was in a very shabby location however the food was decent. We were hesitant because it was in a sketchy neighborhood. Thai food was good...we got the drunken noodles. The reason I am giving this a 3 star is bc the portion was small...the drunken noodle were smaller even though it was cheaper $6.50...the sushi on the other hand was normal price but w tiny portions. Everyone else got the sushi sashimi combo $17. It did it not come w miso and salad like in other restaurants that charge the same price...so I thought fine I guess they would give more fish. Nope I was shocked, it was half the size that I thought it would be. Really thin slivers of fish. Really expensive considering how much they give you.

The lot was exponentially smaller than what I had pictured. I assume that the place serves take-out and delivery much more than dine-in. Although the restaurant only had room for but four tables, the furniture was all fairly new. The owner was extremely friendly, adding character to the recent 2-month old shop. The combination of thai food with sushi was questionable at first, and i'd recommend eating the sushi before starting on the greasier thai counterpart. For the sushi, I tried the Albacore Lover Roll and it was really tasty! For the thai food, I would recommend chicken pad thai, yellow or green curry, and pineapple fried rice. All of these items came in large portions for the cheap price paid. In my opinion, the curry was my favorite, as the chicken was extremely tender and juicy. Many of these include shrimp, so allergy victims stay aware! You can tell the owner really loves what she does. It's a tiny store in a ghetto area next to 7 11, but every bite makes the trip worth it! Definitely coming back for seconds. Also, while there, take the Seaside Fwy if you want a scenic drive on a narrow, winding bridge over the ocean. Awesome!

This place is so incredible! Might be the best thai food restaurant I have ever eaten at and it's only 5 minutes from my house. I just have to eat duck curry and it is phenomenal! It's hard to believe that a little hole in the wall can be this good. The pad thai is also very very good. The drunken spaghetti and drunken noodle are also exceptional. As if all this was not good enough the sushi is also to die for. We have the BSC roll and it was a mind blower. Chicken satay, best I've ever had. Ask for Clair, She will take great care of you and help you with menu choices. Dynamic is very tiny but very cute and queen, Home delivery free for purchase of 15 dollars or more..... You can't go wrong with this place.

I looooooove this place. The atmosphere inside is surreal. You feel so cozy and welcome. Our waitress, Claire, was the best, too. She was amazingly friendly. The food is amazing. It is all true, authentic Thai cuisine but with a more modern twist. My boyfriend and I shared the angel wings appetizer, my boyfriend ordered a level 4 pad thai, I went with the classic orange chicken, and we shared the mango and sticky rice for dessert. The flavor in everything was so intense. This is now my go-to thai place. I've yet to try the sushi but that's next on my list.

OMG, I have falling in love with this place i wanted a moment before writing a review because i wanted to taste a verity of different things before i let my Opinion run free.... And all i have to say is if you haven't been here then you haven't been living this place is great sure its a a little small but its well worth being a little cramped after-all that's one makes friends.... The food is super fresh and made with love everything they give you can feed a small village, and you can't bet the prices, i mean where else can you go and speed less then 20 dollars for a meal for too.... If your still thinking that because they aren't any places and No McDonald's Taco O Bell and Jack N' Box does not count... The people are extremely nice and they are very quick with there service, I had to wait a little long one day for my food to do the over flow of people, so the lovely waitress made me a tea that let me tell you was amazing to say the least.. One more time i LOVE this place.. .. and you should too.... Oh and one more thing thing they are open until 11 which makes it perfect for someone like me that works at night.... And other reason why i love this place

Thai AND Sushi. Under one roof! Never again will the M. family need to argue over Thai or Sushi. What a MAJOR improvement over the last Thai place to inhabit this space (right next to 7-11). It is a TEENY TINY little space but quite elegant. Excellent service and very nice waitress. Food was awesome too. We had sushi for appetizers, tom kha and a bunch of Thai dinners. Green curry was AMAZING. We'll be back. Often.

Large portions and good prices. The place is small, but worth a visit. Avoid super spicy plates because it will ruin the flavor in my opinion. Ordered the drunken noodles and sushi they were delicious, but i should of held back on the spice. They have a flat screen that is always playing the most random movies.

I don't like being the jerk that comes in with the 2 star review, but I just gotta. I'm giving them 2 because the delivery was quick and the person who took my order was friendly...Therein may lie the problem: perhaps the takeaway isn't the same as dining in? Anyhow, we ordered pad Thai with chicken, pad see ew with chicken, chicken satays and a Thai tea. The pad see ew noodles were mulchified together and the veggies were soggy. The pad Thai tasted slightly fishy. The satays were probably the best of the lot, although they were rubbery. And the BEST thing was the little cup of cucumber salad with two cucumber chunks floating in vinegar (no exaggeration here-2). I miss Thai Dishes. I guess the hunt continues for good Thai in SP.

In town to see music at Alva theater. Sushi and Thai in one place, so lots of things on the menu. Inside the place, it's a small very nice neighborhood hole in the wall, white tablecloths, roses on the table in a sketchy strip mall outside. You can tell the owner takes great pride in her place and was very nice to us.We went pedestrian, and ordered pad thai, tom yum soup, orange chicken, and a dynamite type roll. Of these, the soup ordered med. spicy was my favorite, everything else was fine. After reading other yelp reviews, we went across the street and bought beer at the baby blue liquor store with the full wall of bulletproof glass. Lots of colorful characters waiting at the corner, at the bus stop, in the liquor store, so it's best if you like a cold one with your spicy tom yum soup to plan ahead. The owner did not hassle us about the beer. Decent fod, cute place, nice people with good prices.

Found this place through YELP and have been coming here ever since! The restaurant is super tiny and feel a little claustrophobic but the food is great, prices are reasonable and the servers are very friendly. I personally love the drunken noodles and the BF and son loves the sushi.

I waited years for Thai food to come to San Pedro. When it finally arrived at that place on 25th and Western, I was super excited. But my elation quickly turned to disappointed and then to abandonment. The place sucked on each of my three visits. So I was skeptical about Jasmine Hana. It's crammed into a pretty rough strip mall just south of the 110's terminus. Parking is cramped and the Seven-Eleven draws its share of low-lifes to the strip. But once inside Jasmine's cozy nook, the space and servers (often the co-owner) are very pleasant. Prices are reasonable: Around $7.50 for many of the Thai dishes. Thai Lunches are a little less and include rice, miso soup, salad, egg roll and a sticky rice desert, all of which are good but not note worthy. The main dishes that I've tried: Spicy basil, cashew nut, drunken noodle, Prit King and a couple other that I don't recall are all well prepared and tasted delicious. The Thai ice tea is good and comes in a large schooner. I haven't tried the sushi yet, but look forward to it. This is an excellent Thai restaurant with very reasonable prices and they even deliver!

I really, really wanted to like Jasmine Hana. Right around the corner from my new home in San Pedro, what could be better than a Thai/Sushi restaurant that's open late and delivers? Unfortunately, after trying Jasmine Hana twice, I won't be back. My first experience was a walk-in, carry-out meal for one. I ordered Pad Thai and a sushi roll. The hostess was pleasant and the premises seemed clean and well cared for, so my initial impression was favorable. But the food turned out to be average to slightly sub-par. Still, given the convenience and other factors, I felt Jasmine Hana merited a second chance. After all, don't all of us? That opportunity came with a delivery order. But the food was practically tasteless and didn't seem freshly made - more like something you'd get from a buffet. Just plain blah. We tossed out the leftovers, which is unheard of for us. Jasmine Hana, I wanted to love you. But you let me down, and I'll have to keep looking for quality Thai in San Pedro.

Really great small hole-in-the-wall joint in the ghetto part of town. We read great reviews and wanted to check out the restuaurant, with the thoughts that we might get it to-go. To our surprise, the place was inviting, small but sweet. The service was fantastic as well. Food- ordered drunken noodles with beef- loved the noodles, will order shrimp next time. sushi- salmon sushi- nice cut and presentation, they make the rice without much vinegar. soup-tom yom shrimp- shrimp was moist and chewy, which tells me that it's fresh!! drink: chrysamthmum tea- slightly sweetened and generous serving. dessert: sticky rice with mango- need I say more? overall, we will probably visit again- they also deliver just in case you want to eat in. Oh! they're now open 7days a week!

A great little spot to catch some very good Thai dishes. Clair, the receptionist/waitress is most gracious. I tend toward the hot spicy dishes and have had the Spicy Basil, Prik King, Cashew Nut, Drunken Noodle, Green/Red/Yellow Curries, Spicy Beef Salad and also one not spicy dish...Pad See Ew. All were very good. Also if ANY thing is not to your liking Clair will make it so. She is willing to take suggestions and want's you to be 100% pleased. I like the fresh cutup tiny hot chilies she will get for you if you ask. We have been here about 8 times now and haven't been disappointed. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are good. I haven't tried the Sushi but a friend said it's also great. As I said it's a little spot...very small inside but clean and cozy. Parking can be a problem, as it's located in a small strip mall, but the food and service makes it worth it.

Jasmine Hana is a good Thai restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is great. If your a regular you even get a greeting from the chef. I tend to come in once a month so I'm usually ignored my the chef, but greeted warmly by the waitress. But if you get take out be sure to call ahead. The wait seems to be forever PLUS 10 more minutes. Seriously, it's usually a long wait. . Also, a little on the pricey side, but my taste buds are worth it.

Stopped in tonight to try the new Thai place in Pedro, and it's fabulous. Don't be fooled by the tinting on the windows- it looks like it's closed from the outside but they are open for business. I think the grand opening is coming soon. Had spicy tuna roll and yellow curry- both very tasty. And of course mango sticky rice! Very friendly staff and food is great quality despite the low prices and the location. Grab a red box next door to complete your night! We will for sure be back and telling our friends about this little hole in the wall.

I am so happy that Pedro has a great thai place finally. I went in for lunch and had the spicy beef salad. SOOOOOOOOOO YUMMY. I thought I should order something for hubby for dinner but waited for him to get home and I went back for dinner for us. Ordered their 'special of the day' of the shrimp tom yum soup which was yummy and my hubby said yum as well. Then we shared their combo noodle dish which also was very good. Then off to the mango sweet sticky rice for dessert. We both had a very great dinner of that soup, noodles and them the mango rice. OMG please please please try this place. The service was awsome as well. I haven't tried delivery YET........

2011: This cute small dive is fantastically good! I have done research in Thailand for several years, eaten Thai food all over LA, and this is one of the best in quality and taste, and easily the best value in the city. The room is small but tasteful. The sushi is creative, and the Thai food is classic. Wonderful service. Update as of November 2013: the cook changed, the Orange Chicken and the Laap Gia are no longer as good as once they were.

Went for dinner with the gals, my sister and daughter. We ordered the drunken noodle with shrimp, crab fried rice and albacore sushi for my daughter. I tried a little bit of everything on our table and my tastebuds were dancing :). When they say a plate is going to be spicey they really mean it! The drunken noodle is my favorite. Lots of spice + lots of garlic = super yummy. I am definitely going to return to try something new.

Finally!!! A good Thai restaurant in San Pedro. I've been looking for a Tom Kha (spicy coconut chicken soup) that's not sweet. I didn't know why I waited so long to try this place out. I'm glad I finally found a place where they make great soup and awesome combination fried rice. I walked in expecting a small dining area. It was smaller than I expected. I was thankful that there were 2 vacant tables. My husband and I ordered the Tom Kha (soup), combination fried rice (ckn and beef), steamed mussels. and fried vegetable. Dang can't think of the name. It'll be come back to me later. We were going to order more based on our past experience with Thai Restaurants here in Pedro, but the server told us that their servings are big. Hesitated but finally followed her advice. I cannot believe my eyes when my Thai Iced Coffee (oh yeah ordered this one too) was served. A full 16 oz glass and reasonable amount of ice. wow! it was a good sign. Then our orders came and we were totally satisfied. The price is very reasonable considering the flavor and the amount of food (we got to take food home), it's so worth the money. Will definitely come back and try their Rolls later and more Thai food. I love Thai food!! I forgot to mention my awesome server!! She's very warm and knows the food she's serving!

Called this place after I searched Yelp for restaurants open late. I called them about 30 minutes before they close and asked if it was too late to order food for pick up. The guy on the phone was very nice, and was happy to take our order. We arrived about 20 minutes later and the food was hot and ready for us to take. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great. Will definitely be going back there again!

Ate there last night for my B-Day dinner after a day on Catalina with wife and 5 close friends. Absolutely, fantastic. We were greeted by Clare hostess/part owner fairly near to 11pm closing. She was most accommodating, warm and friendly and knowledgeable. We were treated as "guests"/regulars and made to feel very welcomed. The food was fantastic! Best Thai food since my time in Thailand 4 years ago. And the sashimi/sushi was likewise delicious. Yellow Tail Belly sashimi was the Bomb!! Our order: Spicy Beef Salad(excellent), Spicy Garlic Albacore Tempura Roll(delish), Pad Thai with Chicken(everyone loved, even me and I don't like/order it), Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp(try it with lime), Steamed Rice, Pork Pad Ka Prow(special order request from my Thai/Cambodian friend), and Sticky Rice with Mango(with B-Day candle and oh so yummy). They do a brisk takeout business but do yourself a favor and enjoy the ambience and Clare and staff and eat in. I 'll be back but sure wish you were closer to my neighborhood. BTW, I don't do surveys or write reviews but my experience at Jasmine Hana compels me to offer this if it helps others enjoy this excellent Thai/Japan cuisine. Bon Appetit!! Sawasdee Clare, l

So I ventured in here at the suggestion of a close friend. Upon Walking in I immediately noticed this place was extremely small. There are like Two tables and 5 booth seats. Luckily it was basically empty which equaled no wait. I ordered the Drunken Noodles which are stir fried flat noodles with chili....basil..bell peppers...onions...tomatoes on a bed of lettuce and your choice of meat. I choose chicken and added shrimp. I also ordered Devil Wings which are deep fried chicken wings w thai style hot wing sauce. I topped it off with Fried Wonton and Thai iced tea with boba. The total cost was 27 bucks. The noodles tasted amazing...the shrimp were fresh and big...they were pretty generous with the shrimp and chicken portions. This dish is spicy btw. The wings were good...if I ordered this again I would definately tell them to cook the wings crispy. They werent crispy enough to my liking. The wontons were good as well...they came with plum sauce. I love plum sauce. :) The tea was great..definately one of the stronger thai teas I have tasted. So I have plenty of leftover ....enough to eat for about 2 days. Will I go back? Definately.

Nice small place. My daughter loved their salmon sashimi. I liked their drunken noodle. Will definitely come back and try their seafood soup.

My fiance and I just ordered Jasmine Hana for the first time today. I went in and they didn't have any take out menus and they offered to email it to me. All the employees are very friendly and the food is AMAZING! We ordered Ginger chicken which was fantastic, yellow curry, beef and broccoli and drunken noodles. I recommend all of it. and their thai iced tea is to die for.

a few weeks back the hubby and i tried to go there but they were still setting up, total fail for us for my hunger for thai food was great.. after a busy memorial weekend the hubby and i decided on take out for dinner last night. Walked in and thought the decor was so cute. Small but felt welcoming. Menu had lots to offer. took us a while to decide on what to order. Looked like word travels fast about this place becuz it was busy for a monday night. we sat in front of the chef who was making sushi and he acknowledged us which was nice and friendly. on to taste.. it was DELISH! i'm pretty picky with my thai food and this was good. flavors were on point. we had Pad THai, korean bbq, spicy tuna crunch roll, and angel wings.... all of which i recommend.. and cant wait to try other things on the menu. our only complaint about our first experience is after we got our food it took us about 15 to get out of the parking lot. there is a 7-11 next door and there was a huged delivery truck blocking our way out. would be better and more benefical if they werent in a such tight location. but even tho the food wasnt piping hot by the we got home it still yummy. we will definitly take advantage of thier delivery service soon!

I'm so happy that this place has improved as well as it has. There seems to have been an across the board improvement since my last visit. I once again got the Pad See Ew because I'm boring and don't like to take risks with food. Anyway I had some complaints about heat last time and it was perfect this time. They serve the Thai Tea in a bigger glass, but kept the price. My mom had yellow curry and loved it when she was on the fence last time she had it. My little brother had orange chicken that was...the only way I can describe it is classy, earth-shattering, mind blowing, etc. The only thing we didn't like was the Chow Mein, way to oily and I didn't like their choice of vegetables. For desert we had this tempura fried ice cream. I was baffled at how they dipped a ball of Green Tea ice cream in tempura fried it and got the outside to be perfectly crispy and the ice cream to not be melted. It really baffles me. It was delicious. Although we didn't like the Chow Mein, the service was amazing this time and it was amazing last time, so 5 stars.

It was great food. The Thai tea was the best I have ever had they make it fresh and not with a mix. The sushi was fresh. The green curry needed a little more seasoning. The price was good and the staff was really nice.

My first dining experience was great. I took my friend there and we had such an enjoyable time. The restaurant is really small but it is very clean and welcoming inside. The sushi rolls we ordered were unique to the restaurant and the thai food was amazing and authentic. Don't let the exterior deter you from a great mouth-watering experience.

Excellent food quality and quantity for the price. The location itself is tiny, and the kitchen can get a bit backed up easily, but the food more than makes up for it. An excellent candidate for carry-out.

The attractive sign is what first caught my attention... hmmm, Thai AND Sushi; such a pretty sign... My brain being stimulated; my mouth starts to water... 'they serve my favorite food under one roof... I've got to try this place!' Last week, I took the time to try my first experience from this restaurant, you either love the 'first time' or you don't. I find parking easily, though it seems tight, I'm not too thrilled about the location... but they serve my favorite food... the attractiveness of their sign is still luring me in. I opened the tinted door and felt like I was at the entrance of a portal into a Hollywood hot spot! VERY nice atmosphere, no kidding, the ambiance is perfect for this place (see pictures). It is VERY small though. The restaurant was half full at 1:30pm, it was early in the week that day. "Claire' as I soon found out, greeted me with her extremely friendly person and a never ending smile, along with big bright eyes. Her English is poor but her sincerity is not. She radiates "I want to serve you well" and she definitely did! I ordered the lunch special Chicken Padthai... with every sumptuous bite I tasted the authenticity of Thailand; it was delicious! I can't wait to go back and enjoy the Duck Curry I spotted on the menu and their SUSHI! I met the Itamae, Jon, who seems nice too and based on the pictures I'm excited to get over there again next week! For my first experience... I LOVED IT!

Super tasty fresh food and an amazing waitress! Good atmosphere. I have hardly ever eaten Thai, Chinese, Japanese, or any other ethnic foods in my life, but I really like good food. I decided to venture beyond my comfort zone and thanks to Yelp, decided on Jasmine Hana. I didn't know where to start with the menu due to my inexperience. I told the waitress this, and she put together a great appetizer-lunch combo and brought additional sauces for me to try. All of the food was delicious and I will be back regularly for the chef/waitress surprise = whatever they think I will like.

Tried this place for the first time tonight, parking is kind of a pain with the tiny busy strip mall. We got a table right away once we got in and ordered some Thai Tea. I ordered mine with boba, but would leave it out next time (good tea, not so good boba). I decided quickly on the duck curry (I love a food duck curry) and theirs was very good (minus the piece of duck that had some bone). In the end I had a lot of left over curry sauce and the server (maybe the owner) offered to pack it up, to take home (which I gladly agreed to). My wife ordered a sushi and sashimi combo. The pieces of fish were huge and seemed fresh, although not as flavorful as my wife expected. Overall a good meal, not too expensive, close to home, good service and nice ambiance, and sushi and thai at the same location. They lost the star for the boba, parking, and duck bones.

Best iced thai coffee, specially when ordered with boba! Great service when Clare is there, she is the sweetest and will always suggest some great items. Their dragon roll is great! If you want a super sized iced thai tea or coffee, call and order to go because it is HUGE & CHEAP!! Very small place to eat in, but still nice.

I think I have been here over 10 times since it has opened. I just can't get enough of the nice ambience, the wait staff, and THE FOOD. I am also quite happy that this place is literally 5 mins away from my house. At first I was skeptical to try it due to the previous businesses that were in that area before, but I am so glad I did. I recommend any of the curries. I usually get them with seafood or chicken because they are not shy with the meats (ESP when I took it to go) or the crab fried rice. The crab fried rice was my first dish there, and it did not disappoint. Huge chunks of real crab! Usually they are quite prompt in bringing my food out, the last time they were short staffed cause it was almost closing time, but for my wait they gave me a free thai tea with boba. I will be going back every chance I get. Next time i may try their sushi selection :D

The shishito peppers were just good, I've had better, but they were served properly, and where almost there. Anyway, the rest of our food was pretty good, I'll have to go back to try mjore things. My friend and I both had the same thing, some spicey drunken noodles that the waitress recomended, and it was pretty good, the menu had a lot of interesting items on it, so I will be back.

My first Yelp and what a start. I was looking for either sushi or Thai in San Pedro since my buddy Gil just got a job down there. I came across the reviews for this place and IT ROCKS! We had roast duck curry, pineapple fried rice, and some noodles (forgot what type Angie ordered) and IT WAS ALL SOOOO GOOD. The staff is so polite and they go out of their way to make your visit special. I have a feeling they will soon outgrow their little spot near Gaffey & 1st. These people deserve your business. HURRY. GO NOW. You won't be sorry.

I've driven by this place so many time & never thought of trying it....until today! I was starving & wanted something "asian-y" but didn't want any of that generic Chinese food, you know, the chow mein/rice with 1 or 2 items. After yelping it & seeing that it had almost 5 stars, I convinced my bf to try it with me. Now, don't be intimidated by its rugged appearance (the homeless people, the tamale man, the crappy parking lot, etc). Once u step into this small, quaint space, ur immediately transported to a tranquil place with inviting aromas. The waitress was friendly & gracious. I had my 2 small children with me & she brought out a child proof plastic table setting for my 2 yr old, which was much appreciated. :-) Food!...So my bf ordered the double spicy tuna roll & wonton soup. I ordered the chicken pad thai, & beef broccoli & steamed rice for the kids. The service was fast & food was ready within 10 min. Everything was delicious! The only "gripe" would have to be that the beef was a little chewy but wasn't too bad where I wouldn't order it again lol! My family had no complaints :-) Will probably be back tomorrow to try their lunch specials! This place is definitely a diamond in the rough! Yum!

Fantastic! Husband and I went here on a Tuesday. Service was great-waitress was very sweet, and sushi chef was great as well. We didn't get any Thai food, just Sushi. Albacore, Squid, Salmon, Albacore lover roll, double tuna roll (I think?) and Yellow tail. Everything tasted fresh, was delicious. Thai ice tea was fantastic, not too sweet.

The place is so cute very small and cozy the Thai food is great I love their golden crab...which has actually pieces of crab inside unlike most place and the pad sewe (im not quit sure if that's the way to spell it) is amazing especially if u add the special vinegar they have that goes with it the girl that works there is very sweet and the cherry on the cake is that they deliver...only thing I didn't really like was the sushi :( but maybe next time ill try another roll that the waitress had recommended overall it's a place to try!

Okay, where to start. The food is really good, I will give this place that. The place is clean, area surrounding is quite unkempt. My family and I stumbled upon this place as we are from out of town and it was scary to walk into. We got hit up for money right before entering as people were repairing their vehicles in the parking lot. Then, it says good for kids except it is about the size of my closet. It is SMALL so if you have a group, don't bother. Once again, food is good, location and accomodations are NOT.

I would have given this place 4 stars for value, but upon leaving, I observed the rear kitchen chef tasting the soup directly out of the pot, with a ladle that he placed back in the pot. Disgusting!

Just got dinner here with my boyfriend. Was excited to try it after reading all the great reviews! Jasmine Hana is a tiny hole in the wall on Gaffey. I swear, these types of places end up being my favorite. Ordered the Spicy Shrimp Salad, the Tom Kha with Shrimp, and the Drunken Noodles with Chicken. The salad was amazing - seriously one of the most delicious salads I have. The shrimps were butterflied and grilled to perfection and the dressing was just so tasty! The soup and noodles were also fantastic, so much flavor and perfect amount of spiciness for me (I got a spicy level 3). The service was great, everyone was very friendly and polite. It's my boyfriend's birthday so we also got some vanilla and green tea ice cream on the house. This will probably become my new favorite spot in San Pedro.

This place is soooo good! I'm really impressed with this quaint little restaurant. When I say little...I mean little. Its tiny, but cute. The service is great and the food is just as good. The portions of the Thai food are big and prices are very very reasonable. I ordered for pickup and when I got home I opened my big brown bag and , to my surprise, was given a free Thai iced tea. Yum!

My roommates and I have ordered take out and delivery from here. The food is always good and they have even thrown in free thai iced teas for us (huge orders). I love the pad see ew (sp?) and my boyfriend likes the spicy basil chicken. yay! :)

  • Shannon R.

I really liked Jasmine Hana, but it doesn't seem like they can get it together. The staff is really nice, the food is great, but every time I order weather I pick up or have a delivery they forget some of my food. I have ordered about 6 times. I have decided to not order from them any longer this last time my food arrived with a couple flies cooked in! Yuck. I called to tell them and the lady admitted they had a fly problem they were working on getting rid off. I am sad to say this, I love to have a good delivery place in the area =(

Finally!! An amazing Thai place in the SP. My family and I are STOKED! We ordered take-out 2 days in a row, it's so cheap too, 4 entrees came out to $23, with the 30% off, which I plan to take advantage of, cheaper than cooking!! Truly authentic has the same flavor you would get traveling the countryside of Thailand. Also reminiscent of my Thai grandmother's cooking. The waitress Claire is the sweetest lady, very accommodating, and loves her customers. They are also open pretty late, 11 pm I think. Both nights we showed up there after 10pm. Everything so far is amazing, I would definitely have to recommend the Devil Wings, Drunken Noodles, chicken coconut soup, and Thai beef salad. Haven't tried the curries yet, but will next week. And the deliver!!! Yes!!

With so many five star reviews for this joint and all the raving about it on Yelp I just had to give this place day in court and judge it for myself. It's located in an extremely small strip mall off of 1st and Gaffey. The parking is horribly tight in the small parking lot. I prefer to just park on the adjacent street. The dining room is very small only about 6 tables and about 4 seats at the sushi bar. Staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. You can definitely have a delicious meal for around ten bucks here. I ordered the yakitory lunch special which consisted of three skewers of yakitory chicken, salad, miso soup, and a california or spicy tuna roll for $7.50. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee($2.50) that was super tasty. so much that I pounded the whole thing in less than 5 minutes. Here's where my lack of stars comes in. My friend had ordered a sushi lunch special. They brought his meal to our table literally 20 minutes before even bringing me my california roll or miso soup or anything to nibble on. Now I understand this place just opened three months ago but at this point you should have your timing down a lot better than this. The waitress was very apologetic about the situation and even admitted to forgetting to order my yakitory completely. How do you completely forget to order one persons meal on a two person table? She ended up comping our drinks (thai iced coffee and sodas) as a remedy. I thought she should have comped my entire lunch since I had to sit there starving while looking at my friends tasty looking lunch. With so many employees in the kitchen it seems like they could be getting meals out a lot faster and more efficiently. She also brought us some sweet mango sticky rice. I had never had the pleasure of trying this before. This was a great dessert and I'm hooked. All of the food l tasted was great when it finally arrived. I will definitely return and hopefully have a better dining experience when I do. They also offer delivery so I may try that alternative first. Hopefully they will improve their timing and give me a reason to up the stars on my review.

I called the other night for take out and was told over an hour for delivery... So this time I stopped for take out. The place is really cute and clean , there's only a few tables. Service was fine, though I waited for a while before my take out order was taken and there was only 1 other person there. The food came quickly. It tasted great, but there was hardly any meat in either of the dishes I ordered... For being in the ghetto part of town they must have cheap rent, they could have spared some protein ...What is it with the 3 Thai places in Pedro thinking we're in Santa Monica???

I was not sure if a restaurant could pull of good Thai and good sushi, but they definitely do! All of the sushi we had was excellent, big portions of fish with the perfect amount of rice. The Thai food was just as delicious! We had crispy tofu, coconut seafood soup, drunken noodles, and green curry; and I don't think there was anything over $10! We will definitely be back soon!!

Came here for Navy week, only to find it closed as I got near (darn!). It was near the afternoon hour and getting hungry, decided to come here with the bf given the 5 star rating. So don't kill me that I'm disagreeing with the consensus. I'll explain... Parking: Good luck finding a spot! It's in a strip mall with a laundromat and liquor store. Lucky for me, I only had to circle around once as I found a space in the end. Ambiance: It's a small little joint, maybe 25 people max capacity and has a small sushi bar. Staff: Very friendly, but with a twist! Long story short, we got a lot of "it's on the way" (insert friendly smile) but we literally waited 15 min for everything. We asked our waitress for some napkins when our food came out and she disappeared until the end of our meal when she reappared with napkins. Our soup came at the end of our meal and another cook/sushi chef apologized to us for the wait and said he would give us mango sticky rice on the house (but umm...that already comes with our meal). Food: Sushi: Albacore lover roll (My highlight dish). Thai: We ordered the lunch special which comes with a choice of selected 16 dishes (I choose yellow curry, bf choose the panang curry)steamed rice, salad, egg roll, soup (miso soup), and dessert (sticky rice with mango). Seriously, both curries tasted too sweet and almost identical in flavor. Miso soup, was NOT miso soup. Their soup was sweet and something in my mouth just wasn't right, can we say, MSG. Atleast dessert was decent. Drinks: Thai iced tea and thai iced coffee. My thai iced tea wasn't overly sweet, but didn't really have much tea flavor either. After the ice melted, it was just a watered down sugar tasting mess. The thai iced coffee tasted strong. A bit too much for my liking so I didn't even bother drinking it anymore. Overall theme of this place, "Its on its way", "sorry, we're so busy today, it's on its way", "thank you for waiting, it's on its way" and expect to get it 15 mins later. But even the friendly staff is really no excuse for poor time management. As my bf said "i can manage this place with my hands tied behind my back". That's a fact since there were only 4 other tables beside ours and one table was waiting for them to take his money. A sign of busy times...I think not!

Do you know how much 5 of us paid for a lots of fresh sushi (both nigiri and roll) and variety of Thai food, also a bottle of pino noir - that we bought at liquor store across the street - and complementary delicious Thai deserts for the dinner served with a great customer service tonight? Only $12 (includes Tip!) per person! Were we really in United States? The miso soup was the best I'd ever had since I moved to America from Japan. If you want same experience, This is the place to go. The lady seems to be the owner here put 100% care to treat customers. I'm impressed.

This place sucks! All of the dishes are bad. Fake crab in most of the dishes. Only thing decent is the raw fish sushi, everything else that is a specialty or a la carte is disgusting. Small, not enough tables and next door to a 7-eleven where sketchy people hang out. Food took a long time considering there is only 4-5 tables & a small 4 seat bar. Will NEVER GO BACK!

We ate here tonight, excellent service and delicious food. They had very authentic thai dishes and innovative sushi specialty rolls too! Don't let the small size of the restaurant fool you, it's a great restaurant. Me and my wife are soooo happy to have a decent thai and sushi place in San Pedro. And did I mention, they're open late?! Until 11pm, thank you! Claire was a sweetheart, very attentive and truly wanted us to have a great experience! We were treated better here than in some 5 star restaurants! Definitely coming back, the food was cheap on price, generous on portions, and tasted amazing! WOW! Deviled wings are super tasty, curry had big shrimp and great sauce, sushi was done right! They are generous with the filling and use high quality ingredients. The chef was friendly too, and made sure we were happy with our food. Very authentic thai! Tom Yum soup was incredible. Check them out!

The quality of the food wasn't great. We expected more since we went because of the reviews. Sushi- could have been better Red Lady roll- The sesame sauce is actually is a Japanese salad dressing and didn't mix well with the sashimi. Yellow Curry and Baby Corn dishes were just so-so. Service was good, but we also went close to closing time.

I have mix feeling for this place. It was my Thai masseuse who recommended me to try this place. Went there on Aug 20 for lunch. I learned from fellow Yelpers that parking could be difficult, but I was there around noon and did find a couple of spots available. The waitress was very friendly and she recommended Drunken Noodle and I want to try their sushi, but afraid that it would be too much, so ordered sashimi instead. The food came at the same time, but the waitress was nice enough to remind me that I should try the sashimi first and she would keep the noodle warm for me. The sashimi was with tuna, yellow tail, and Salmon. The meat quality was good and not fishy at all. The drunken noodle was very good, which I could smell the sweetness of the onion from the dish. The waitress brought me the spice tray as well and I normally put on a small scoop of dry chili powder and three scoops of Serrano pepper vinegar. After that, it was the small portion of mango with sweet rice dessert and condense milk over them, which I like. Since I was impressed by the drunken noodle, I told my wife about it and she wants to try it as well, so we went on Aug 27 for lunch. The waitress who greeted me last week was not there, but I did not think too much of it. My wife and I are both familiar with the common Thai dishes and decided to go with that and not ordering sushi. We had Som dam (papaya salad ), tom yum goong (hot and sour soup with shrimp), green curry, and then the drunken noodle. The papaya salad was prepared with two large size raw shrimp, which was ok, but we preferred the one with small dried shrimp. It was also a little too soggy, but overall it was ok. Tom yum goong was not hot (temperature wise) enough and the alcohol block they put in was too small and not able to keep the soup piping hot. There were also no lime leaves nor galangal in the soup, which leads me to believe they just made the soup with the tom yum paste. This is fine with me, but not going to get 4 stars or higher from me. The green curry was very good, however, a little too salty. The drunken noodle, again was very impressive and tasted just like the one that I has a week ago, Now for the service, it was not as good as last week. The waiter did bring me the spice tray, but without the chili powder and the Serrano pepper vinegar was low and almost gone. He also forgot to give us the mango sweet rice. I will definitely go back from the pan fried flat noodle and would not mind trying the sushi, but they should have their acts together.

I will have to say their food was good for the most part , but you should only order with them face to face,(not on the phone due to semantics). Went there on sunday, when they say they are open and they weren't , so I wasted my time and had to park in the awful parking lot and a waste of precious gasoline, and when I mentioned that she acted like it was no big deal. But the food was ok if you don't mind the clowning around.
